He started doing it on-and-off about two weeks ago. His paw looks swollen and he keeps licking it, and doesn't want to walk or press on it. He growls at anyone who tries to get him to stop, which is pretty unusual.

We tried looking to see if he had a piece of glass or something else stuck there, but couldn't find anything. My parents suggested it might be a bug bite. He walks with a limp on that foot.

I personally thought it might be an allergy but not sure what he would be allergic to, other than just some sort of general allergy to stuff outside, since we live in Dallas and the air isn't the cleanest.

Anybody got any advice for how to deal with this? He's so obsessed with his paw that he doesn't want to go out for a walk today. I'll be taking him to the vet later if nothing comes up in this thread.

Edit Update: He had a cyst, they cleared it and washed it out.
