I told my roomate James that I wanted to name my cat after him and he's been really passive-aggressive lately and he got mad when I brought up nameing the cat James the cat so we wouldn't get confused. I could really use some help here.

Tell him don't worry, you'll only call him Jim or Jimmy or sometimes Jimbo, James is just for official documents.

Strangely enough, I happen to have two cats named Jim and Dwight. Dwight is on the left, Jim is on the right. Definitely name the cat James or Jim. Jims are great cats.
