http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gq01UYiMyHg Alright this is a Heywood Banks song but the tune is so incredible goddamn familiar and I can't figure out what it originally is from. My father was able to sing along sans-lyrics his first time hearing it, and its totally like a traditional song but I can't figure out what one.

So there's this song I heard at a dance and the only thing I remember about it is that the chorus has a high pitched kind of whistle at the end of each stanza. Like a person was whistling at a girl ala Wolf Call. Anybody have any idea what I'm talking about? It's a contemporary sounding song, too. Sounds like 3OH!3 or something. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQkBu8ijUNo#t=1m25s (Ross Noble's buzzer if it doesn't load right) Been looking for this for ages. My idiot brain almost forgot about it and then QI decided to use it in a recent episode. I don't even know if it's a full song, I just need to know what in god's name it is. It's always just referred to as "Ring A Ding" and there are hundreds of songs with that name. All I need is an artist/group name or a reference to where it's from or anything at all, something to narrow it down.

I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm getting married this Saturday and I promised I'd be able to find a song for my fiancé’s parents introduction, but I have been unlucky so far. What I am looking for is the opening theme of a Japanese drama called "Hissatsu Shigotonin".The show ran from like 1970 to 1990, before having a reboot/remake done in 2009 or so. It needs to be the original, and not the new one. I'm getting a little desperate, so any help (artist, title, details) would be helpful. I found what I think is a soundtrack released by King Records, but it may not be the same song, and it won't get to me on time anyway Any help would be great. To give a clue the song starts with a trumpet solo, has what sounds like a Spanish guitar.

It was a song on Sirius XMU this morning. It sounds like an indie-rock version of Duran Duran and I thought it was called "You're So Devious" but that's not it because nothing is coming up. What I do know too is that the singer, in promotion of XMU's new classic indie show, introduced Pavement's "Shady Lane." But I completely forget the band's name and XMU's website is terrible. It doesn't have a playlist feature which would literally be the best thing possible.

I asked in another thread but I'll ask here too. Some dumb pop song that I can't get out of my head. A guy sings about a girl named becky(?) the only line I can remember is just "becky, wooooo". It's not Plies "Becky", it's something else.

There was a song in a current episode of Community, it's the one where Pierce listens to the tape his mother made before she dies, and at the end she says "I'll play myself out" and a rap song starts playing that starts with "They say I'm cooler than cool, that I'm the best of the best". I can't find this song anywhere, is it fictional or is it a real song? And it's not the current "She thinks she's cooler than me" song that keeps popping up everytime I try and google it.

I need a little help. Hopefully someone out there has a good memory. I need to know which SA member made the song; "Dance you Commie" off of the "Unreleased Karnov Sequel" album. I used it in a video I made of my son's Halloween costume a few years back, and I want to get in touch with whoever put it together. I know it was a goon, and that's all. I would like to give the composer proper credit, because it works really well with the video, and has been very popular. Plus, people are asking! Come to think of it, I used another goon composition called "Dancing Fat" in this other Halloween costume video, and I ought to give whoever made that credit as well. If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it.

There is a track playing on hip hop nation lately with a remixed like early 90's pop song synth for a background track and its about "Money, Money, Money, Money" and I can't remember any other things about the track, including the artist, and its been stuck in my head for like an hour.

I'm desperate here cause it's killing me. I saw the video on youtube. The band might have soul in its name or that might be my mind playing with me. I'm almost positive the band's name is two regular words put together. Again this could be just my mind playing with me. The video for this one song, and if I recall the band is sort of bluesy, is in a bar and it's in black and white and I believe there is some gambling. This is all so hazy because I forgot to put it in my youtube favorites and just remembered them like 2 months later after watching the video twice. There was definitely some sort of dark/gritty tone to the music but it wasn't metal or anything like that. They are supposed to be the next big thing. I read some review and the album is apparently good from top to bottom. I'm pretty sure they're white, one has a beard and they are folksy/bluesy. fnordcircle fucked around with this message at 13:02 on Nov 14, 2010 |

Okay, so I heard this being remixed at a convention last night, and I know I had listened to it before, but I have very little to go on. It's a french song, the lyrics are french, it's sung by a female. It's rather upbeat, quirky, and it's not a slow song. The music video has a CG little girl dancing and singing with a host of other characters dancing and singing, lots of animals and stuff, geometric shapes, spinning and dancing in sync with each other and stuff. It may have been a song for kids? I'm not sure, but I was reminded I had found it on Youtube years ago when I heard it last night and now it's going to bug me forever.

That's a pretty good suggestion, actually, but it isn't the guys I'm looking for. The video was more moody and darker with a little more folk and a little less blues. This is going to kill me, I can tell. I spent an hour today searching. fnordcircle fucked around with this message at 22:02 on Nov 14, 2010 |

I've been trying to figure this one out for years. Adam Mckay wrote a digital short for season 25 episode 11 of Saturday Night Live called "The H is O". There is a version of it on funnyordie that has a different soundtrack. This is the only version of the original I could find: http://www.myspace.com/video/vid/3208920 I know the first song is 23 minutes in Brussels by Luna and the last song is Cyanide Breath Mint by Beck. The funnyordie version replaced the song with This is Just a Modern Rock Song by Belle & Sebastian. The only lyrics I can sort of make out are "boxes on the porch" and "never wanted to be".

Like everyone else, I've got a song I can't ID stuck in my head, and its driving me crazy. If I remember right, I first heard it a couple of years ago, but it sounds like a Beck song mixed with psychedelic/space rock beats. There is a constant cymbal tik beat and there is a lot of guitar sliding during the chorus. The only part of the chorus I can make out is something like "Gooooing dooooown... down down dooooooown" It reminds me a bit of Donovan's Atlantis, but faster and thicker in the mid section (i.e. more drums, more bass, more guitar) I've asked several people and looked at youtube for a couple of hours, but no love.
