This is a video clip clue, it features a female lead who plays the cello. She is an attractive blonde, eastern european looking, and I'm pretty sure her bow is lit up with a pinkish fluro light, as may be the rest of her cello. The song is kind of elecrto classical house pop. Towards the end of the clip is a shot of two males kissing in a doorway, and she ends with a curious gaze at the camera. It was on Rage on the ABC Saturday night.

I heard an artist on the radio and the artist+album was something like "gambibwawa mashimba" does that name sound familiar to anyone? It was south american music or something with a sound like M.I.As beats.

This is an incredibly long shot but: I was sitting in a restaurant in Miami when this incredible song came on. It starts off with somebody shouting "PREPARE YOURSELF FOR TEN MINUTES OF LIVE ORGASMS", followed by the promised ten minutes of live orgasms. Naturally I've looked everywhere for such a ridiculous song but I just can't find it. As far as I remember, it was kinda eurodancey, but not really fast paced and ravey.

A song that sounded like something out of the 1950's came on NPR. Lyrics, which are horribly off: What does a man need to survive in this world? Other men. What does he do with them? He eats them whole. A woman, in an opera-ish voice sings the chorus, too.

Ok, this is the longest shot ever but anyways. This friday I was at a disco in Munich, and I really loved this song. I'm pretty sure it's not rare, but i wasn't even able to catch a few lyrics and search it afterwards (i was drunk and english isn't my mother language). It sounds something like this. Don't rely on the lyrics, as i've made them up.

I'm looking for a rap song from the early to mid-1980s. It has, amongst other things, someone doing an impression of Mr T along with lyrics like: "I pity da fool, that steps on my feet / gonna knock 'em to the ground and do it to da beat." Anyone have any ideas?

Mechafunkzilla posted:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2IHnWY-i6Y G'damnit, came here to post something totally different and now I need to know the answer to this! The song I want to know about, is a light Elliot Smith esque ditty, about being on a "train and I saw a guy who looked just like 'some country singer?'" and the country(?) singer guy is staring at him and eventually comes after him and kills him. I could have sworn he kept saying Willy Mason, but, no. Sorry if thats a bit useless, but, its how these things go.

There was this playlist going with a lot of Beatles and other 60s light rock while I was working out, and there was one song that sounded almost like something you'd expect in a Parisian cafe or something, with an accordion. It was a male vocalist and the only word I caught (though repeated) was "sunshine" in the middle of a line in the chorus, I think. It's a long shot, but any guesses? Oh, and it was not My Girl or Good Day Sunshine or Here Comes the Sun. Tshirt Ninja fucked around with this message at 02:08 on Dec 14, 2010 |

Some time ago I heard a really bleak and depressing rendition of "You Are My Sunshine" on All Songs Considered and I can't remember the name of the artist. I'm sure it was an instrumental, probably just solo piano. I'm sick of clicking through sappy youtube videos trying to find it, please help.

Tshirt Ninja posted:Carly Simon? Nope, what I'm thinking of had no vocals. I've been doing another round of searches for it and it's like all I can find are jazz overhauls of the song. I remember my version being drawn out and minimalistic but still pretty recognizable to the original. I think it was part of a fairly recent release from the artist too... I don't think I'll ever find it with memory this vague.

I posted this request probably a year ago and got no response, I'm gonna try again. I don't like techno/dance/trance whatever music. But I heard this melody while watching some rave video back in high school (2006ish). It happened about halfway through the song. So its probably the bridge. It keeps popping up into my head from time to time and there are 1,000,000 techno songs that I'm not gonna go through to find out. Please help....

I heard a really cheesy nu-metal-core song on the Sirius metal station recently. It had both screaming and clean singing, and I think even some rapping. The chorus was all about feeling cheated or stepped on, including the line "to always be last in line". Towards the end the singer says something like "with a fist in my face and my back against the wall". I'm curious as to who the band is, and no, it's not the Trapt (or Trapt-sounding) song. Any ideas?

This has been bugging me a while but it's kinda vague. It's a song I've heard before a ton of times it sounds like an 80's song with synth for a bit near the beginning before the singer kicks in and I think one of the lines near the beginning is something like "but I forgot" or forget or maybe because instead of but I'm not sure but this is driving me nuts.
