ahahaha the Mark Sanchez story is literally a girl saying "omg mark sanchez texted me" on facebook and pictures of his bedroom. Cutting edge journalism.

I like how Daulerio is playing the lawyer contacting them as though it's the huge smoking gun when it really reads like the girl was claiming things that weren't true and when Daulerio said that he was going to publish it she realized how much deep poo poo she'd end up in.

I've decided that the one article preview while hoping you click on their not very enticing headlines HP is worse than the bunch of articles with <hr> tags the same basic color as the background HP.

Right, and that was demonstrably horrible and he is certainly a scumbag. The funniest part is that Daulerio could only get the very generic "hooked up" into the story, which for a teenage girl could be anything more serious than holding hands. It's like, if you're going to accuse someone of having sex with a 17 year old like it's a big deal, at least don't hide behind weasel words because you're afraid of getting sued.

17 is legal in NY/NJ, and he's 24 not 30 so while it's kind of goofy it's not uncommon at all and not illegal.

I will say one thing in AJ's defence: he knows how to hype a story. He took something which probably could have led one of those Deleted Scene columns they used to do and with a little creative spin, a pretty banal story picked up a ton of views (over 110k). Also, remember Sanchez has some skeletons in his closet, too. All things considered, I think the whole story is kind of creepy.

Two observations: one, the fact that they're parading the "deadspin vs. the jets" storyline as some sort of thing to be proud about is probably one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen on the internet. Second, I would be completely unsurprised if it turns out that someone from deadspin or gawker leaked her name.

I'm bothered by the Internet detective work but not by the story itself. Dating someone 7 years your junior when you're fresh out of college is a little creepy.

I love reading about sports before 1990, when players would doubleteam groupies under the bleachers before eating two Big Macs (with a side of nose candy) and punching an opponent in the back of the head.

The best is really Mickey Mantle describing his greatest moment at Yankee Stadium being a blowjob he got under the bleachers once (and only a blowjob because he was injured and couldn't gently caress)
