Meanwhile, in Wong Kar Wai news, here's some posters for his upcoming Ip Man biopic, The Grandmaster. Hong Kong version. It's a bit poo poo. The French version. A bit better, but the photoshop is more like a photoshit. The German one. The colour scheme makes it look a bit like a Kung-Fu Pisschrist. The Japanese one. Still not a fan. US Teaser US version 2. Probably my favourite of the bunch.

Supposedly, the trailer for The Zero Theorem got leaked about a two months ago at Comic-Con, but good luck finding it. However, we do have some screencaps from it, such as shots of Waltz, bald with no eyebrows. I did find one of him in the suit on the poster and it looks like Tron's Sark's outfit as if designed by the late Eiko Ishioka. Peter Stromare's in this... So, is Matt Damon...

That Zero Theorem suit reminded me of the suit in Dead Space. Also, for anyone that liked the Hangover but thought 'These characters should be in their sixties'

Vagabundo posted:Meanwhile, in Wong Kar Wai news, here's some posters for his upcoming Ip Man biopic, The Grandmaster. Having watched the film the German one is probably the most representative of the movie, because it's (spoilers on the type of movie The Grandmaster is) close-up shots of a lot of people talking and reminiscing, while bathed in golden light, with very few bits and pieces of fighting here and there. It's absolutely unlike any of the other Ip Man shows. I do like that last poster but that tagline "Once upon a time in Kung Fu" is so loving dreadful, especially when the movie is actually representative of the end of the romanticised Chinese martial arts era.

I'm hoping Zero Theorem will not be a FUTURE BAD, PAST BETTER, FOR REASONS movie because it sure seems like it could be one and Gilliam at least toys with that in all of his sci-fi and fantasy films.

God, the latest Mondo World's End poster is pretty bad: http://www.mondotees.com/The_World%27s_End_p_1102.html However, this bad boy came in yesterday and is loving gorgeous (and huge!): You can't really see it in the pictures, but there's lots of really dark tendrils in there in the black. I put it in a frame more expensive than the damned print and it's going front and center in my office. I like the black/ice blue version that was at SDCC too, but this'll do.
