I've been a TO for years, so this stuff is kinda second nature to me now, although online tournaments introduce some new challenges. On that subject I'm probably going to be hosting a Smash4 tournament end of January/beginning of February, so if you live in the Boston area and want to hang out with my goony rear end IRL I'll probably have the details sorted out in a week or so.

The local store we play at is Game Underground in Framingham. If you watched GUTS 3 back in September it's hosted by them (and I'm good friends with the owner). Since I got out of college we've just been doing tournaments out of my house, which has been a mostly friends and friends of friends deal, but I want to establish a solid Smash 4 scene, so I'm looking to expand, and I'm probably going to be posting tournament dates and my stream all over SmashBoards/Reddit/here to try and develop a group. There's like 15 of us in a close group right now that get together and play every 2 weeks or so. Once we establish a scene I'll move on to weekly streams of friendlies, getting an actual venue for tournaments (probably GU), and getting cross promotion with the other big Smash events. Edit: To actually answer your question; It's pretty comparable. I honestly haven't had the time to practice Smash 4 as much as I've wanted (holiday season and all) so I'm not at the top of my game, but I have friends who could go toe to toe with Reksi/KingofSprings. Also not to john but playing online introduces lag elements and gives a slight advantage to heavy/hard hitting fighting styles, which is totally not my bag. Everyone deserves a chance to catch up with the thread and have their matches in their own time, except for sitting bull who must be aggressively dropped and banned from participating in all future tournaments (smash bros or otherwise)

Something has come up tomorrow and I'm probably not gonna be around for my match against either Endgame or Evil Eagle, which unfortunately means I probably can't play my match until the 25th (24th USA time). I'm around all Christmas and New Year though, and I guess the other half of the bracket still has some catching up to do anyway so hopefully I don't get DQed while I'm gone? Cya all in a week.

Beef Waifu vs TheComicFiend Little Mac vs Little Mac 2-0 We fought on two Omega stages and I beat him pretty handily on the first match, but the second one he fought harder being more of a challenge and even landed a ko punch, but misuse of counters was his undoing.
