42043 arocs tipper? It looks good, any idea what the alternate build will be?

edit: rebrickable says I can buy all the bits for the unimog for ~£155, apart from the wheels, some flexible connectors & pneumatic tubes (which I have like 5m of). I'll have to play with it to see if I can substitute different colour bits.

Yes, Robinson, take the Major, the Robot, your wife and kids... but leave Will for my plea-- his education.
Picked up 60078 Utility Shuttle for my wife... it's incredibly underwhelming, not that I was expecting much. Definitely feels it should be at a slightly lower price-point, but I guess they're nickle-and-diming for the molded cockpit.

Anyone know how much the Scooby-Doo sets are going to run?

EDIT: http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Scooby-Doo_(Theme) Answered my own question. Looks like I need $205 in the Lego fund.

I found the detective office on clearance for $110 at target today, snatched it right up although I'm not really into the modulars. Only other stuff on clearance was a few Chima sets and the Milano.

I have never seen any of the modular buildings at any store other than the Lego stores. Are they just randomly distributed to major stores or just shipping errors?

Yeah every target I have seen just has a banner in the Lego aisle with the $100+ sets that says "shop target.com for bigger wallet busters"

When target has a modular it was bought online and returned in store. I have never seen this phenomenon. The good that found one on discount is not only lucky to see one, but a huge rear end in a top hat for finding it on sale :)

Since the beginning of time, man has yearned to destroy the sun.

I got the large Arkham Asylum set about two years ago from the same thing at a Wal-Mart. My local Target also had the Executor set at 40 or 50% off while it was still being sold for the same reason.

It's rare but it happens from time to time (from online sales being returned, like the last poster said).

e: The Arkham Asylum set was the only set I've gotten with a missing piece (an incidental piece that isn't exceptionally rare; all the bags were intact) so there's that, too.

Other than Including that it looks rad as hell, though. I'd almost be tempted to get it and I don't even care about ninjago. Wonder if this was the reason for (or a response to) the Japanese Buildings idea submission getting panned?

Seems like a grab bag of whatever minifigs lego had laying around the warehouse. Is it supposed to be a village the ninjas protect or something?

The buildings look good but I don't like lego's new style of gluing modules together with hinges. Give me a baseplate and actually complete the scene. :colbert:

Olive grass!

Ninjago kind of a patchwork futuristic world beyond the feudal Japan stuff and it's always been a bit grab any old thing and throw it in. Reminds me of the Medieval Market Town a little in the way there's a lot going on and little details. No baseplate = more display options, but a pain in the rear end to move. I don't think they really do baseplate in this kind of set any more, in general. They've been free standing or hinged for a long time if it's more than one structure.
