Too many highlights so far to pick a favorite. Some that make the list -the many variations of Gary Oldman's face in the mocap presentation (both stretched and in PAAARRP position)  -Sandi's awkward tearful quitting but not really quitting speech (with totally unplanned flunky delivering her flowers followed by artfully dodging a kiss from her husband) -CRobs many amazing incompetent demonstrations (recent one is the best) -any and all pube related jokes -CRobs incredible 10 page (or whatever) trainwreck of a response to D Smizzle. -Too many amazing photoshops and videos to mention (there should seriously be a compilation of these things somewhere)

So what does CIG actually have to release to not actually face any litigation? At what point do they just dump some loosely cobbled together "pre-alpha" as the game and just have everyone walk away like they upheld their promises? Then how many of the citizens will be content with it?

As blinded as a lot of them are, I gotta think that if CIG just called it quits right now there would be a huge revolt. Only the die-hards would stay.

I'm watching the 2008 Red Baron movie. The CGI flight models and physics are better than Star Citizen. The story and characters are better than those in Wing Commander.

My ideal game: 1) one that costs a whole bunch of money 2) one with no clear release date, if ever 3) one whose features and objectives are unclear, if existent I like to throw money into my fireplace and hope that if I do it long enough, Cubivore 2 will magically appear

When you stop turning there's no finality to it. There's always a little snap to it. Also the footsteps during this- I can't really explain it. The only thing that is smooth is the HUD. Everything else is plagued by stutters and screen tearing. This isn't because "it's alpha." That's bullshit as rendering the basic tenets of the game- such as a single room in the FPS engine- should not have these rendering problems. You should not have motions that continue after the input ceases. You should not have phantom footsteps, your head should not bob 8 inches to step forward. All of this occurs constantly, and has been somehow accepted 3 years into development. There's no economy, no organization integration, no persistence, and the biggest thing at all, which a goon noticed: when a user is piloting a ship, they become the ship itself. It's why they are invincible until they get up. Only then do they "spawn" inside the ship model. This is where it's obvious because once this happens the physics (such as g-forces) no longer apply. Forget the Paarp nonsense of Sandi's war on pubes or Detek Smart's blogs. 3 things are just swept under the rug: 1) The entire year of Star Marine was completely abandoned. All the videos, graphics, maps, game modes- all was either tossed or never made. And this has been played off as "intended" 2) The 64-bit positioning bullshit. This was blatant misdirection, and it was originally used to describe how it is one giant map. It is not. IT'S EXACTLY HOW EVE ONLINE'S SYSTEMS HAVE WORKED SINCE 2003. You will be positioned in the system, but will only load an instanced "grid." Even if this works, given what I'll describe in #3 you can see how this I'll cripple the game. 3) Multiplayer as described (although never written in a dev doc) is so hilariously far away that it might as well be considered impossible. Not for the world, impossible with Star Citizen as it's built. Think a bit, while the system positioning is 64 bit, the local grids aren't. In fact the draw distances and such have to be redone all the time when you are beyond typical bubble. This means the grids will still be limited to Arena Commander size, and given they never broke the 16 player limit there's no indication it will increase. On top of that, there's so little in terms of IT resources working for CIG right now I am honestly confused how the GIMP is even looking these days.
