Okay I get the 2nd Mac, but what's the story behind the first one? Is it just grumbling about injury lawyers tied to a new TV series, or did something actually happen.

Camden market, while it's still there, the museums (Natural History and Science - there next door to each other, and British while the Elgin marbles are still here), Tower of London - basically all the Old stuff that you can't find in America

We figured out "stealing from the third world" in the 19th century , too. I meant more temporal things... a reason to pick March (vs. April vs. May.)

Maybe get out of London ? Where I used to live in Rochester is 45mins from Euston station (or an hour from Charing Cross) and worth a day out (don't live there though) - you've got old stuff in museums, but you don't have a 12th century castle or 14th century cathedral

I would also second the "avoid london" part of visiting the UK. But then I've never been so I'm partisan. If you want something you won't see everywhere in the US then smaller towns built around a thousand years or so of historic buildings are what you want.

Camden market is a tourist trap that should be avoided at all costs IMO. Unless you're into that kind of stuff. Go to the Tates

I'm being flown in to do some teaching (in London) but they asked me when I want to come. I was in two years ago and visited all the major galleries, had a train to Leeds mysteriously rerouted to Manchester for no reason and then got rained on a lot. Had those experiences already. Really, truly... I want to see all the beautiful moments captured in these politoons in real life!

I was ready to run down there and drop 250 for this Maggie mug but if they can't even spell her husband's name right, they don't deserve my patronage. Hrmph. I'd rather stake out a pond Boris is likely to fall into, but I probably will load up on used cartoon annuals at a charity shop if I don't make it to The Political Cartoon Gallery & Cafe (and the fancy looking comic book shop next door in the background of their photo). He's sort of merging Papa Kim and Baby Kim into a midpoint person here... or just doesn't give a poo poo.

I'm fairly sure this one is a "overdriven parents trying to live vicariously through their children are insane" thing, and may actually be The Good Mac. Unless he is actually saying that we have to beat the Indians at all costs.

It's actually saying the latter thing, but as a joke. I mean, either way you've got the child abuse element but still.
