Palin was willing to latch onto Cruz back when he was the hot new thing for the Tea Party crowd, but now that he's old and busted he's kicked to the curb - and Cruz already made the mistake of preemptively cringing over losing the endorsement, which looks weak. This might not move a lot of hearts and minds exactly but it feeds into the general narrative about Trump being strong and rallying the Conservative base to him while Trump is unlikeable and slimey.

Can I just confirm, as a non-US person: Is calling someone progressive now genuinely an insult, to those on the American right? I mean, not "progressive" in scare-quotes, or a modified insult version like blowgressive or whatever, we're talking just the plain word itself, that's seen as a bad thing?

I'm really enjoying the conspiracy against Ted Cruz. No, really. That's what it is. It's hosed up but glorious. He says something, everyone knows what he means, but they just run with the most damaging possible interpretation of it. The "New York Values" thing was hilarious, and this Palin thing is even worse. Of course Cruz never attacked Palin but, who cares? He's a weasel and deserves it. Edit: Also, Sarah Palin genuinely seems like general election poison.
