Latest chapter was good but I kinda don't like Pon chans dynamic where she has a crush on this guy who misgenders her all the time/generally treats her like poo poo and pushes herself on him against his will. Maybe it's supposed to line up with tsundere tropes or something but there's too much real world bigotry there for that to work imo. Kumota's in an interesting position of being the only BL author I've seen do trans characters but having one really awful stain on her record and some stuff with Pon that seems weird to me, though I'm cis

The problem is that some BL is basically no different than some random ecchi titty manga, only aimed at straight girls/some gay guys instead of straight guys. And I don't think the latter sort of manga would go over well in this thread for obvious reasons. But I also understand and agree with the "there isn't really any other thread to post it in" argument. I guess I would just like to have some warning if a title contains a bunch of sex (with the intent of titillating the reader), because otherwise I'll assume that a manga is a regular romance manga.

I'm all for using nws tags where appropriate, but my school also banned batoto last week like right after I'd reread tamen de gushi on one of their computers. So it's not 100% this thread's fault. Kissmanga and the Dynasty Reader are fine though, for whatever reason.

I read Nozoki Ana today and I loved it despite it being super porny. I really liked the plot, characters, inner conflict, all that kind of stuff. I looked up Fureru to Kikoeru also, by the same author, and I'm really liking it so far, but I'm current now. I really like the exploration of honesty, and how people hide their emotions etc.. I like the idea of there being genuine love between characters, and just infatuation between others, instead of it just being characters suki suki daisuki kanoujo-chan stuff, and exploring the feelings of the characters. I'm super new to this genre so I'm not sure where to go next. Advice?

Yona is worth buying but from the looks of it the official releases are like 18 volumes behind, so uh it's gonna be a while. It might be the lone series I brave a kissmanga+noscript combo for.

Whoops, I forgot to link the Yona chapter in that post! I've been using mangahere, which I don't think is as bad for pop-ups? I've got noscript and Adblock everywhere though so... Anyway, buying the official release is cool and good, but yeah, it will be a while before it catches up even close to the scanlations.

Boy gets rejected because girl just wants more girls as friends. Boy crossdresses to fulfill girl's wish. Boy is incredibly bad at it. Girl decides to help him without him knowing so that no one else realizes he's crossdressing.
