D. Ebdrup posted:Anime is steadily declining and has been for more than the past decade based on the amount of millions of yen the industry is reporting having sold for Unfortunate, but not unexpected. I dropped my CR sub when it became apparent people still loving love their region locks in tyool 2015 and my favourite region unlocker thing went behind a paywall at about the same time. I want to pay for anime, not for some third party shady unlocker. They're losing tons of sales overseas like that. When I can pay a sub and watch any anime like I could if I was in Japan and turn on a telly, I'll pay for it again. Until then provides a far far superior experience: I have firefox set up so clicking a torrent/magnet or a stream site link streams poo poo directly to my video player. It's exactly as legal as region bypassing where I live, i.e.: "do anything you want as long as it's for private use". It's really annoying too, I loved how bookmarks in CR remember what episode and where in the episode I stopped watching a show, and how I could turn off subs (I watch unsubbed, 3rd party streaming sites don't support that most of the time), until they took 80% of the shows I was actively watching away from me because I live on the wrong side of an imaginary border drawn on a map. I still watch the shows I can there now, but I'm not paying a sub to watch 1 20 minute show per season. Agronox posted:I prefer liking things to not liking things! quoting this again because 5

I mean, if you're using torrents anyway, why bother with the illegal streaming sites in the first place?

The worst part about old shows is when it only got a partial translation and was then unceremoniously dropped forever. I wanted to keep watching Corrector Yui, dammit

After doing a short glance around the internet at least there's TV Raws for the entire series so if someone ever felt like subbing it they could. But yeah probably not gonna happen anytime soon. Full manga got released by TokyoPop at least.

Every day when checking batoto I silently pray that someone has started translating the four volumes of her ongoing series Yukibana no Tora, but there is no justice in this world.

If there was justice in this world, the Yuyushiki translation would be a lot closer to volume 9 that's scheduled to hit amazon.co.jp on 26/8-2017. On the upside, this is soon: Unfortunately, I don't know anyone going to Comiket this year. BlankSystemDaemon fucked around with this message at 19:58 on Jul 23, 2017 |

It makes me really happy that Namaikizakari is settling into a Yuki-at-college plot and seems to have quite a bit more ground to cover with Naruse growing into his captain role and them handling a relationship where they aren't seeing each other at school every day. I may be tired of it by the time Naruse graduates but tbh I hope it just keeps rolling past high school for him too.
