I'll spend a bit of time tomorrow going through sold eBay listings and adjust. Thanks!

veni veni veni posted:I'd recommend looking at sold eBay auctions too. I regularly see that battle pack go for about $10 so $45 for it seems super high. Yeah, this. It's how I price lego sets I sell, especially new in box ones. Just search for sold unopened listings and base your price on an average of the recent prices and you should be good.

Yeah as far as I can tell its the only way to get actual prices people are paying for Lego online. Bricklink has an option to check things that have actually sold too, but it seemed more all over the place than Ebay for me. There's so many speculators it's hard as hell to price Lego. Just remember to check the boxes for sold and not just completed because that will also bring up stuff that didn't sell. Also, to the dude who said they need to make a new cloud car I totally agree. Give me a cloud car, Tie bomber and interceptor and I'm happy.

I got an amazing haul off facebook marketplace. The lot had about 10-15 medium-small minecraft/star wars sets and a couple big ones still in the box. Featured were: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SDTTV6Y/ref=nav_timeline_asin?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Minecra...go+ender+dragon https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Minecra...raft+tree+house All for $50. I am very pleased.

Pics? I swear Fb marketplace will be the death of my wallet. I regularly troll for people offloading their kids collections of legos, and end up picking up 25-75 sets at once, in various stages of completion and assembly. You can get sets/bricks for pennies on the dollar, and some of the reward is getting to see what treasures were in the collections. Got a Death Star and UCS slave 1 doing that. A few bucks in brick link parts, and voila, good as new

I was just checking mine out and it's mostly crap/bad deals. There is one guy selling a UCS snowspeeder for $120 though. The posting specifies R2-D2 not included for some inexplicable reason.

I dropped my Helicarrier last night. One turbofan popped off, and the bow, landing deck, and bridge came off as separate chunks. The main hull of the ship was fine. That technic frame is no joke.

I saw the Ninjago city thing at my local store last night - holy poo poo - it's so goddamn GOOD. But man, i'd be eviscerated for bringing that home.

Nice. Glad I waited until the last day for the bonus. Picked up the Saturn, a new Boba Fett keychain and a 6 cent brick to put me over the $125 threshold.

I have a shitload of extra packs of Lego minifigs Series like 8 through 12. I've hit my ebay limit for selling but you know what-- I wouldn't mind just selling them all at once or in least large lots. They're basically from a seller who picked a bunch of the "good" ones out of boxes and then sold the rest to me for cheap. I thought at the time that I wouldn't mind having a few armies of Cyclopes or such, but eh. I'd rather find them a new home. I can make a list if anyone is interested. I have cut a tiny little slit behind the back flap on most of them to verify what's inside before resealing, so they're basically ALMOST still sealed. Should I make a SA-Mart thread and link to it from here and put discussion in there?

Aliexpress build time! Kaneda’s bike battle damage Same bike with the no damage front end Vespa scooter All three of my bikes And Simpson’s season one and two mini figures, well, at least these aren’t bootlegs.

The AliExpress’s MOC builds are intense, the bricks are fine, it’s just the build used some very weak connectors. Look at this move, these builds use dark magic.

Yeah, I got the Maritime Museum and the window frames attach at the top, but they have you build them from the bottom. It was a bit tricky to keep it from collapsing until I completed the frame.

Yeah, MOCs seem like they are usually a rough draft and at Lego, someone would go through and refine it to make sure it stays together and looks nice.

When building a moc it's easy to get hung up on THIS BRICK MUST GO HERE. LEGO designers give things a reality check.

Hi Lego thread, I have a question about selling Lego. My son has a shitload of Lego kits that he is no longer interested in, and all the pieces are randomly strewn about in an Ikea bin cabinet with about 9 bins full of Lego. No boxes, but all the instructions are there in new or excellent condition. Now I know it would be ten times easier to sell the whole lot, but would I be better of just sucking it up and bagging up each individual set? I'd prefer to sell the entire lot with the cabinet, but I don't want to lose out too much if there's a penalty for going that route. Applebees Appetizer fucked around with this message at 05:56 on Oct 27, 2017 |

As there's no guarantee that someone will want every single set, you'd probably make more money by making sure you have individual complete sets. Or just don't sell them and then your son will thank you when he gets back into lego when he's older and doesn't have to rebuy sets he used to have.
|
# ? Oct 27, 2017 06:00 |

You'd probably make like 5 times the money or more wrangling the sets together, but you have to ask yourself if it's worth the immense amount of time it will take. If it sounds like a fun project go for it. If it sounds like a pain in the rear end just sell it in bulk because it's not going to be enough money to waste dozens or hundreds of hours of your time on.

LEGO today is like comic books from the 50's. Every kid will want them again once they hit their mid 20's and realize they still want to be a kid. That said if you really want to unload them.. I'll pay $50.02!!

Don't sell if you have room to store them. I would go through phases of not using them for years but I did eventually come back.

All of my sets (with the exception of an MOC starfighter I made out of the 6897-1 Rebel Hunter when I hosed up building it as a 6 year old and the 8816-1 Off-Road Rambler that somehow escaped) went to my cousin who was growing up across the country from me. I so wish I had most of those pieces now. Do this if you have the space: Humphreys posted:Tell him you sold them, give him some money. It'll be a little bit of pocket money to treat yourself to old people fun.

Yeah the issue is no space to store them, and he hasn't touched them in almost two years. He's an outdoors kid playing outside all the time, and when he is stuck inside it's Hotwheels or video games. We talked about selling them and he's fine with it. This is the lot, any idea on a fair lot price? I was gonna just sell the whole thing, bin cabinet included.

It's hard to guess how much you got there.. a good ballpark is about $5 a pound for bulk lego. No one's gonna want the furniture unless they're furnishing their kid's room. You got a benny's spaceship there so that's at least $20 if you go by weight!
