I think it's incredibly brave of the author to kill Aizawa off in the spin-off manga as a way to retcon him out of existence after hearing about how much his quirk limits the plot.

Horikoshi does not seem to be in a good place right now. :( Recent WSJ comment:

Oh no. Please, Horikoshi, do not go down the Togashi path. No one should go down the Togashi path.

Hopefully, seeing how well MHA is doing, he can get the Oda treatment at least and get a week off per month. It means less content but gently caress, I don't want him to break his back or die early.

I'd be just fine with him doing a 3-to-4-weeks-on, 1-week-off schedule like Oda has been doing with One Piece for several years now. Manga artists have the most grueling schedules and I'd rather they not kill themselves working on their amazing stories.

One Piece has arguably gotten much better since Oda started taking regular breaks. Those post-break-week chapters... hoo boy, there are some real good ones.

The one thing that I've discovered reading Bort and Vigilantes: I like monthlies FAR better than I do weeklies. The writing is better, the pacing is better, the lives of the production involved seems better.... I would love for Horikoshi to go monthly instead of burning out like Kubo.

the nice thing a bout monthlies is that they dont have me worrying that the author is going to die

Deku and Ochako are really cute but their relationship will never progress because they're both too busy and dense to do anything about it

If you want to read about more dense, busy people who will never do anything about it, read We Never Learn! It's the best harem comedy manga because it's the only good harem comedy manga
