Ridley Scott should do something really unexpected like Black Rain 2 with octogenarian Michael Douglas (I have no idea how old Michael Douglas actually is but this seems about right) reprising his role from the first one.

Is this the completed version or the WIP from a couple weeks ago? Ok, so I'm in a graduate level online course about Sex Crimes. Anyone wanna read a discussion post by a marine? quote:Based on the four step process of the “bro code”, and not to plagiarize on any references, an effective method for preventing sexual violence against women would be for every young man in the nation to pick up a rifle and stand a post. Start up the draft or make a mandatory enlistment for abled young man. However, because it is the year 2018 and words hurt, the video entitles “The Bro Code” seems a bit targeted at college kids based on the fact it is their first time leaving the sanctuary of mom and dad. Let me explain. I reeeeaaaally wanna post "Source your quotes" but he literally does.

Okay, so tonight I'm watching The Return of Superfly, the 1990 sequel to Super Fly T.N.T. and the apparent point at which "superfly" became one word. So Super Fly T.N.T. ended with Youngblood Priest completing his arch as a prodigal son by participating directly in radical action against colonialism, so I really gotta wonder where he goes from there. I'm trying to fly in blind, but producer Sig Shore moves to the director's chair with this one, which is a sin because while Ron O'Neal was by no means a great (or even a halfway good) director, he had a distinct vision that took T.N.T. in a direction that completely reconciled the cynical underpinnings of the first movie. I guarantee it was his idea to bag Alex Haley as screenwriter there. BTW, O'Neal's only other known directing credit comes from a film from 1991 called Up Against the Wall, which I can literally only find clips from but doesn't seem to be on home video or streaming anywhere: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhaO5Uf8vyM

Holy poo poo, the new Spider-man game has a mission where you have to follow clues left by a livestreamer that claims to have kidnapped someone with her fans fighting you (with her encouragement) along the way and when she's arrested at the end she talks about how it was her followers and she didn't actually do anything. The whole mission captures annoying streamers really well in general but having her use the alt-right twitter defense was just beautiful

All these folks yearn for a time when things were "better", but that literally doesn't exist. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coverture That's what was so fantastic about women writers back in the day. They were house slave baby makers, even if they came into money a man "had" to take care of them, and yet they still were able to produce "radical" art. Chivalry is just an extension of "knowing their place," customs made to make sense of all the bullshit. I just googled "women as property"and found a bunch of texts you might have to register for. bushisms.txt fucked around with this message at 05:02 on Nov 2, 2018 |

I did learn a neat Joker's Boner style fact during my research. quote:Nevertheless, in 1879, a judge in Massachusetts found that Lucy Stone could not vote under her maiden name and had to use her married name. Lucy Stone had infamously kept her name upon her marriage in 1855, giving rise to the term "Stoners" for women who kept their names after marriage.
