Opening up to wrestling in general is waaaay too broad of a scope. As in, anyone who isn't a Murderer, Rapist, Pedophile, or White Supremacist wouldn't even be relevant. Besides, I thought the point was to highlight WWE/WWF's history of poo poo?

As a dumb American who barely heard of Savile before his death and the subsequent revelations, I'm trying to think of a possible American equivalent for what he did (famous star who used his power to abuse vulnerable people and cover it up for decades on end). At first I thought Jerry Sandusky, but he was only at the assistant coach level and fairly obscure even to most hardcore football fans (and also was long retired when the investigation started), while Savile was a massive TV star and pop culture icon. I think I've settled on R. Kelly now that his monstrous actions, and the buddies who protected him along the way, are finally getting the scrutiny they deserve. Either way, if Savile was eligible for this tournament he'd win in a landslide.

Some more suggestions: Randy Orton: deserted the military, sexual harrassment of writers, making GBS threads in bags AJ Styles: hating on THE GAY COMMUNITY?! Jeff Jarrett: holding the IC title to ransom for cash and all of TNA, basically Sunny: pretty much a trainwreck

Benne posted:Either way, if Savile was eligible for this tournament he'd win in a landslide. He raped over 500 people, including sick and disabled children in their hospital beds, and also their corpses. Not only would he win the worst person in Pro Wrestling (with maybe the Luchadora serial killer as his only real competition) he'd be a top contender for "Worst Person in the History of Modern Entertainment". Hell, if they could prove he had a hand in any murder, he'd probably run away with that category too.

So if we go by the "one year in the WWE post-1980" qualification, we have three straight-up murderers, right?

Like I said, Saville shouldn't count. His wrestling career is such a insignificant blip that the only time it's really mentioned is when someone wants to point out that there was someone in wrestling worse than Chris Benoit.

I put Mad Dog Vachon up there for breaking Tiger Conway Sr's knee during the first ever post-segregation wrestling match. Nominating Johnny Valentine for being a complete rear end in a top hat with a sick sense of humor. (He once replaced an asthmatic wrestler's inhaler with lighter fluid, as an example)

The most repulsive person in WWE is Vince. He allowed all the other repulsive poo poo to foster under his umbrella, whether by actively encouraging it, or turning his head and pretending it didn't exist. Nobody else even comes close.

Jackie D posted:I agree, it loses a lot of luster, and focus I think that just trying to narrow a field of people makes it difficult because of how lovely the industry is. Additionally, you have Vince who's the elephant in the room. A lot of these super lovely people? Vince hired and in most cases, enabled them. How do you hold a tournament like this where Vince isn't the winner? Does Vince hold more weight than Mel Philips because he enabled him and gave him access to young boys? The more I think about this, I think we should just kinda shelve the worst person in WWE/Wrestling.
