I think it was $170 on amazon a few weeks back. Sold fast, of course.

Yeah Walmart did it too around Christmas. The resellers bought them all within a few hours. Same thing when the UCS Falcon was $200 bucks off a while back.

Finally got the UCS Falcon on stand. That was a loving nightmare tbh. Also not a huge fan of the 70 degree angle but it'll have to do. Having it almost sideways you really lose all the cool detail on the sides, but I'll still take it over it sitting flat on the floor like it's been for 2 months.

How deep is it when displayed on the stand? Displaying it flat would be annoying for me since the only surface big enough is 5.5 feet high. If I could fit it on a bookshelf, even a deep one, it would look better I think.

Not me, but my 12 year old son has. I think it was a fairly simple and quick build. Anything in particular that you want to know about it?

Not deep at all. Maybe 8 inches. It makes displaying it a lot more manageable as long as you have enough vertical space for it. I posted a pic on the last page that should give you a pretty good idea of what kind of space you need.

I didn't realize how big the Volvo ZEUX was until after I'd built it. Knowing that it has the largest rubber tires Lego has ever produced beforehand might have clued me into that. It's a cool looking machine for sure though.

Please, Lego, it's a $250 facade of the visitor's centre. You put the brickbuilt Brachiosaurus and T-Rex (with shatter points) in the centre with a staircase and a knockway wall, you put the dining room and the kitchen in one wing, and you put a little movie theatre on rails between the lab and the control room in the other. Maybe you put the bunker entrance on the back to make it look nice from all angles and sell it for $300, I don't care. I just want the drat visitors' centre

imo those are quite the let down compared to what was available, but the number of figs in the coffee shop looks worth it

Don't judge me.

This whole selection was kinda bad, and neither of the two winners seem that exciting to me. I just really prefer stuff like the Old Fishing Store over the various licensed sets.

I guess the Big Bang Theory set sold better than I thought.

Disappointed we didn’t get another space one but maybe they didn’t think the market was there for the SpaceX ones. The jet engine was never going to happen. And the Mexico City was just a normal Architecture set.

I can get Steamboat Willie, especially with the funky black and white aesthetics, but not quite sure what's the point of the Friends set, especially after The Big Bang Theory set which was also a typical sitcom thing with a big couch in the middle and a bunch of stuff around it. And I definitely enjoyed watching the show at the time, but still wouldn't buy the set.

On the other hand, the selection in this round was not exactly invigorating either (except maybe for the space station)--but as far as I know Lego are not obligated to pick anything from a particular round, are they?

ASK ME ABOUT BEING ALLERGIC TO POSITIVITY

I'll buy the Central Perk set. It'll be nice having a detailed coffee shop interior to mod and fit into my city and the figures are generic enough to work as citizen extras.

Steamboat Willie isn't a surprise either and is iconic and it's Disney's anniversary.

Happy about these.

That's actually a decent point. Hmm. Plus hopefully there'll be some 90s styled details in there too.

I don't think people bought the Big Bang Theory set so they could have a generic sitcom couch room, they bought it for the characters and show specific details.

I’m interested in the Steamboat Willie, as long as it’s not $100. They also showed the next round of ideas, which look pretty boring.

The dinosaur fossils seem too finicky, but I can see them doing the fast food stands considering the theme park sets they have been doing. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was another round with no acceptance.

Anyone interested in trading or selling their LM2 trading cards? I've got a bit of a collectible card bug, and this set's small enough it shouldn't be too hard or expensive to get a set (unlike my complete Animal Crossing Amiibo card set).

As for Ideas, I'm pretty surprised. The ISS was great, but probably too big or finicky. Neither of the SpaceX ones looked very good, but it would have been nice to have master builder-designed Falcon 9. Next round, I don't think any of them but the food stands. The fossils don't look great, the ship is too big, the piano is too complex, and the chemical plant is too...weird.

They did an ISS set almost 20 years ago that came with its own stand. It would have been nice to see a new one with modern parts and building techniques, especially since the original set is only a partially-completed ISS.
