Man Mastodon isn't exactly some little indie band, you're just kind of bad at business if you gently caress up that hard with someone who has a massive audience to tell people you hosed up. Honestly that Mastodon story is one of the reasons I don't own a Gibson. (The other reason is that I know two people with $1500+ Les Pauls where the headstock just spontaneously split off when not being played... Use a loving scarf joint. It doesn't make a loving tonal difference.)

What's hilarious is that all those Harmony Central cork sniffers are obsessing over accuracy when most of their heroes played copies. Slash played a 59 copy on AFD. SRV played a loving Tokai for most of his career. Those "100% historically accurate" features.... aren't actually accurate to the instruments you think you want.

Help! I've been diving into the rabbit hole that is learning about synths and it's scratching both musical and engineering itches. I hate everything about this but I loving love it.
