The design is still beautiful, but they BURY the issues and Indy repair shops under lawsuits and brand loyalty is capitalist brain rot. I used to use Mac creatively for 10+ years for digital media production. The desktops became really became tedious to work on especially when they began walling off the garden harder on Snow Leopard, making it more difficult to take advantage of things like hardware acceleration for rendering, once I got out of that world, I was already invested in PC gaming. Love my 2018 13 MacBook Pro. It kills on Capture one and Photoshop plus Apple is like the only company that can get a mousepad 100% right for some reason.

I have their HDX 8.9 fire tablet it’s a little older design but has more memory, storage, cpu, and GPU and a higher res screen than any of the newer ones (this thing is circa 2015 too) and it runs like a champ but has to be rebooted once or twice a day under heavy media usage.

I have never understood the draw of apple products. The one iPhone I had, the iPhone 7, was a downgrade from what Android did and does have to offer. Apple computers? Why?

A Mac mini might be cool though... I listened to some dipshits saying AirPods were a waste of money and got the top-reviewed $80 knockoffs on Amazon and they were physically 3x the size and introduced entire seconds of lag. All the meaningful AirPod competitors are priced the same. I much prefer plastic earbuds to foam tips so my choices are pretty limited.

Just started watching The Hot Zone on natgeo. Topher Grace being in it seems like a natural extension of his character from the end of That 70s Show when he hosed off to Africa, because he plays a lab bound bug chaser in 1989. It's not great, cbs quality production, but it's adequate time killing material. Kinda wonder what's going on with ebola right now, poo poo in my google news feed is slim and bleak. Haven't noticed an Ebola-rama thread pop up like in years past either.
