It still shocks me that the Bounty Hunter pack exists. it's so out of character for modern Lego and their stingy doling out of SW minifigures. Of course, they withheld one of them (Boba fett doesn't count) and put him in a $120 set which sounds about right.

I was actually thinking about the glaring lack of Nein Nunb the other day. They even make Ten Nunb who had a fraction of the screen time. Are there any other noteworthy OT characters they haven't made? All I can think of are Nein Nunb, The rest of the Max Rebo band other than Rebo, maybe a few background monsters, Aunt Beru? I think that's about it.

Also, I'm just finishing the Y-Wing and wow what a build. The pictures don't really do justice to how complex that set is. I think it's tied with the UCS Snowspeeder for most cleverly designed Star Wars Build I have done.

Beru, Nien Nunb, a Bantha, Ponda Boba and Dr Ezavan (?), BoShek, the other Rebo band people, Yak Face and some skiff dudes, and there’s still some Rebel pilots and named Ewoks they haven’t done.

Yeah he came with the B wing from about 4 years back. probably because they'd have to make a new head sculpt or hat for NN and with Ten they could get away with a print and an A wing Helmet.

Huh apparently they did Ten twice; I have 2 copies of him from the B-Wing from way back in 2006 that I always figured was the other one.

That said if we're at the point where these are the most notable omissions, I think Lego is really scraping the barrel at this point. Aunt Beru is the only one I even know.

Beru and Nunb are the only notable omissions with any lines, but interesting background dudes are Star Wars’ bread and butter and you could easily do a set with the missing Cantina dudes (I want a hammerhead and a Duros bad) and another with some of the Jabba’s Palace denizens.

Better than Slave 1? I've wanted it since launch and have just been waiting for a price drop akin to the one that got me the Snowspeeder for $140, but I may just make it a birthday present to myself next month regardless

Yeah, that's another reason why I've really gone off SW Lego, I mostly like the OT (and some PT) stuff and that's pretty tapped out. I've got one of most of the ships/vehicles from the OT/PT that I like and that's enough for me. The last one I bought was last year's Sandcrawler and even then it was mostly for parts because it was half-price.

I'm sure I've said it before in this thread somewhere, but the only things I think are missing from Lego SW are a Bantha, an updated TIE Bomber and Interceptor (no, the red one doesn't count), and a UCS A-Wing.

The Slave 1 is actually up there too. It's just as fun/cool of a build as the other two. More than anything I just meant that the Y Wing and Snowspeeder both have some really unique advanced building techniques I've never seen in a set or thought of. I've really found most of the recent UCS sets great to build with the exception of the Falcon being a bit tedious at times.

technically it's some unnamed made up jedi, but for all intents and purposes...It's hammerhead.

The bounty hunter pack exists to lure people into the Zuccus containing Slave 1. What really irks me about that Slave 1 isn't that I bought it almost solely for Zuccus, but that they didn't give the Lando figure in it and instead put him in an different 20th anniversary set. It had to be deliberate, just had to be.

I had my first missing pieces. I bought Apocalypseburg and bag nr. 4 was torn in the box. (Box was otherwise sealed properly as far as I could tell.) I'm missing a sand colored 2x2 slope (no big deal, really), a long 2xsomething brown plate (easily replaced with a spare black one and it's on the bottom, so not noticeable) and most irritating, one of the two yellow structural beams. I couldn't replace that one exactly, but I made do with two shorter ones connected with some extra pins. It doesn't feel as solid as it should, so now I'm just hoping it'll hold the upper structure well enough. I'm going to order replacements from Lego, of course, although if the structure holds I doubt I'll replace the beam because it'll be a huge slog to take get to it once it's all built.

The last two, the tool chest and safe, both open. The tool chest has a 1 x 4 x 1/3 space that fits a couple small tools or one large one, and the safe has a simple locking mechanism.
