As it turns out, I chose an absolutely FANTASTIC time to get caught up on this Teleport magic is seriously OP. Basically an instant kill once it's been cast. Given how powerful it is already, just imagine how devastating it must be in the hands of someone with depth perception

My guess is that Marcille is way younger than people think she is, since that'd be the biggest reversal from the usual elf tropes. Not necessarily young in human terms, but like young for an elf and she's embarrassed about it. Like, 40 or something.

I mean it could go both ways, she has knowledge in forbidden blood arts and it’s common for those and necromancy to have the ability to extend your lifespan. But even though her demeanor could be explained by spending so much time with non elves it would sort of make more sense if she was a half elf.
