not strictly related to the blu-rays but i very much like that the collector in that video has a playstation VR on his couch opposite his massive TV, but not enough room to stand back and actually use it

Dude, I just looked at his channel, and he's doing monthly videos of the new poo poo he's bought to add to the collection each month, and they're loooong. Somebody get this guy some help. He bought a bust edition of loving Sleepwalkers for gods sake.

I got to the part where it shows his Arrow shelf and it looks to me like every single one of them other than the big collectors editions still has the plastic on it, completely unopened. Does this guy even watch any of these?

You know this really is an interesting video because yea it shows off some of the more ridiculous collectors edition sets out there. This guy has a Wind River collectors edition box set that is as big as any set I've seen, and most of those are for much bigger series like Bond or Harry Potter. This is just a huge box with Jeremy Renner on it and god only knows what's actually in there aside from the disc.

Pretty efficient, getting three copies while only technically buying the movie once.

Never in my life have I seen a box set that consists solely of several copies of the same movie. And it's not even some multi-format thing, or some weird series overlap situation, just straight up multiple blu-rays of the same movie in a different case. What in the world.

I liked Wind River fine enough, but that's the most absurd thing I've seen. I can almost understand it existing for some franchise where people will go nuts collecting every edition, but...Wind River?

The closest thing I could think of is that Blade Runner set that’s five different versions of the movie but at least in that case all five versions are distinct.

These mega collections are absurd. It's hard enough to work through backlogs with under 1000 releases, but there's no way anyone can watch all that poo poo in their lifetime unless they're a reviewer or critic.

Saw a bunch of new posts and expected a fight but was very pleased to see it was everyone dunking on this idiot. I skipped ahead in the video and the first thing I saw was a faced out UHD of Bohemian Rhapsody. This guy needs that team from that one Eltingville comic that deprograms you from being a hoarder nerd.

I’m super guilty about blind buying stuff and not watching it (working on fixing that) but unlike that guy I at least get interesting movies and wait for a sale. The part that really hurt me though was seeing those really nice Ghibli sets on the window sill. Those are gonna fade in the sun, you fool! Edit: I’m still watching that video and I’m getting flashbacks to working at a used cd/video store. I remember those Dexter box sets in those big stupid heads. I hate those things. It’s actually well worth a watch. Maybe the end gets a little silly and the artwork for that one steelbook kinda shows what happens to a degree, but I still enjoyed it.

Yeah, it's a good movie, except for the incredibly cliche and mean spirited reason for the whole movie existing. Still worth a watch though. Taylor Sheridan is usually reliable, with the exception of his incredibly awful tv series Yellowstone.

I collect DS and 3DS games and will occasionally rebuy a game if it has a case/manual I'm missing. I feel pretty crazy about it most of the time, but I usually sell off the duplicate cartridge to recoup some of the cost. I'm glad I'm not a Limited Run Games collector, where people buy multiple copies of the same game because they have alternative covers. That just seems insane to me.

Yeah it’s a shame they just couldn’t have come up with a better reason behind it all. The end just goes OTT with the resolution then. But up to that point is good enough that the crummy ending doesn’t ruin it.
