So Rams eliminated, 49ers still alive for the #1 seed?

And 49ers still alive for the #5 seed of course. What happens if Seattle drops a game to Arizona? I'm assuming nothing important.

We've beaten both the Saints and the Packers head-to-head, so no, we have all of the tiebreakers.

If there are shared games head to head is the first tiebreaker in a 3 way tie, then it goes to division.

Did the Saints and Packers play each other this year?

No. Also there's no way this is true, because seahawks-packers-saints leaves the saints with the 3rd seed despite trumping the hawks.

Well it would decide the top team, then it would go to a two way tiebreaker for the others as I understand it.

Looking at this.

Not that it matters here of course if the Saints and Packers didn't play.

https://www.nfl.com/standings/tiebreakingprocedures posted:

To determine home-field priority among division-titlists, apply Wild Card tie-breakers.

To Break A Tie For The Wild-Card Team
If it is necessary to break ties to determine the two Wild-Card clubs from each conference, the following steps will be taken.
If the tied clubs are from the same division, apply division tie breaker.
If the tied clubs are from different divisions, apply the following steps.
Two Clubs
Head-to-head, if applicable.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four.
Strength of victory.
Strength of schedule.
Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
Best net points in conference games.
Best net points in all games.
Best net touchdowns in all games.
Coin toss.

Three or More Clubs
(Note: If two clubs remain tied after third or other clubs are eliminated, tie breaker reverts to step 1 of applicable two-club format.)
Apply division tie breaker to eliminate all but the highest ranked club in each division prior to proceeding to step 2. The original seeding within a division upon application of the division tie breaker remains the same for all subsequent applications of the procedure that are necessary to identify the two Wild-Card participants.
Head-to-head sweep. (Applicable only if one club has defeated each of the others or if one club has lost to each of the others.)

Oh poo poo I'm dumb and was reading tiebreakers within a division, where h2h makes more sense.

If I'm reading it right if one team has beaten the other two then they have the tiebreaker, if not it goes to conference record. After that common games.

Basically: if one of the teams has beaten (lost to) all of the other teams in the tie, it wins (loses) the tiebreaker; otherwise it goes to conference record; otherwise it goes to record in games against common opponents, if there are at least four of them; otherwise it goes into pretty arcane stuff like "strength of victory".

Seahawks-Packers-Saints doesn't resolve on the first, despite the Saints beating the Seahawks, because they didn't also play the Packers. The first condition requires a total sweep; it's not, like, winning percentage in games between the teams. And that makes sense: it's fine to put the Saints over the Seahawks because of that win, but it'd be dumb to also put the Saints over the Packers because of that win. I assume the Saints lose in conference record for some reason.
