I found UFO on Amazon Prime Video and you can definitely see how it influenced Eva. It's legitimately fun to watch and I hope it also starts to go off the rails at some point, although being fifty years old I won't be expecting it.

Age has nothing to do with that, watch The Prisoner sometime. I remember UFO going places but like a lot of those shows it just kinda ends with no resolution. Though I think Space 1999 is technically a sequel? E: It was based on design work for a cancelled second season of UFO so not really.
