I live in a pretty small town in mid-northern Québec. 5 days ago, a guy at my work picked up his daughter in Montréal that just came back from Florida. He was supposed to quarantine her but instead threw a kid's birthday party over the weekend and came in to work all day monday. He only briefly mentioned all that after his shift. We are all pissed off beyond belief, he may have infected an entire village doing this. Fuuuuuucker!

so much crazy bullshit lately. gently caress. personally and worldwide. people are losing their minds. my dad is still going to gas stations and grocery stores as of yesterday. i cant beg him to stay in any more. we just went for a drive across the lake to pick up some amazon packages from my parents place, the first time ive left the house since thursday. my nieces were there who i havnt seen in weeks. i got my mom to leave the packages in the backyard so i could just kind of grab them and go, as much as i was dying to see everyone. i used gloves and stuffed the boxes in a trash bag to get them back home, then lysol wipe everything down. extremely surreal. not to mention seeing everything open, everyone carrying on with their lives like everything is fine. its just ramping up so quick i wouldnt be shocked if the moon exploded, or maybe hell gates start popping up and demons invade the earth. or maybe my balls will fall off? it seems like anything is possible. all i can say is the doom 4 ad campaign is getting a little out of hand.

I don't want to do another night at the casino. It's my last shift of the week. Just 12 hours in there, but drat there's so many people and we're running out of soap and every other casino is closing but for some reason our gaming commission and our tribal business committee think we're the special casino that doesn't have to close. It's probably easy for them to make that decision because they work away from the actual casinos. Casinos are loving disgusting even when there isn't a pandemic.

My boss has the same mentality, doesn't have to personally be at the business so he's currently not giving a single poo poo about what's going on. Fortunately the joke is on him because the other coworker responsible for my area during day hours called out indefinitely two days ago and I'm going to do the same after my shift today. Isn't a situation where he can just hire someone either, they'd need a server's card and would have to be familiar with our stock or be poo poo out of luck. It takes over a month to train someone. If he's not going to shut the store down then I'll just force him to do so by denying him labor that is essential and that he can't replace. Thank gently caress it's a smaller business.
