Every time she found a new "thing" to question about I was able to gently guide her to the truth. Thankfully she trusts me and was able to connect a lot of pieces together on her own. The worst thing around has been the loving Epstein flight logs. I think with the Epstein what finally got through to her was me pointing out that Trump and Epstein were BFF's and that Trump callously made comments about Epsteins proclivities.

So a friend of mine on Facebook reposted something from another friend that was clearly false, and I wanted to comment on it and lost the original post. So I navigate to the friend of a friend's page, and good lord.... I had to scroll through 87 posts within the past 24 hours. And then I kept scrolling... and scrolling... and it was like easily 100 posts every single day or just right wing garbage. Memes, misinformation, lies... I realized anything I posted would be a waste of time so I stopped. But good god, if these people are reposting 100 things a day, they are exposed to probably 5x that every single day. These people are being brainwashed. I can see why you're angry about politics when that is your primary news source.

Facebook spam like that has utterly broken discourse. So many of these people, even the loud bullying ones, are legitimately convinced that they're the ones that are 100% in the right. They aren't sharing inflammatory stuff because they know it's harmful...they legitimately think it's the truth.

The majority leaves and the remainder becomes more emboldened but frequently that loss in membership becomes unsustainable as they cant grab new people.
