I do a little close magic so this is what I think is going on here with this device

A->A2 is the path the real blade takes

B is the disconnect, here is the mechanism that keeps Blade A aligned with Blade C

C is the where the eye is drawn, this blade will go upwards to create the illusion. it's also possible that there's a 2nd fake blade that spins around the arm to complete the illusion

Oh it goes ear to ear, nice. But how is it different from other masks?

Sure, that could help. What's up with the weird nose shape?

Oh no. One way valves are no good. Uh, that picture doesn't actually show a valve though? What do the reviews have to say?

It's just a hole. :what: I guess it's like wearing a mask with your nose above the mask, except no one can see that your nose is sticking out and give you poo poo about it. One weird trick, virologists hate it!

So if you see someone wearing a mask that looks like this, stay away!

Yes. One way valves are gross.

But this is effectively a fake mask. My post was a warning, not an endorsement, that's why I didn't include a link. I'm sure the aliexpress seller just copied a design that is being sold elsewhere with a big wink wink nudge nudge, where it's obvious this is sold as a way to get around the rules in places where masks are absolutely required and enforced.

So I just bought a rear end ton of resin molds that I thought were cute, and now I’m trying to figure out if I’ll ever even use them. :sigh:

It doesn’t help that I barely use the molds I have and my resin is completely yellowed from age. But at the same time super cheap AND super cute. And coupons!

Well this is a solution but I'd still have to get the Ryobi tool which is definitely not aliexpress priced. But I found this one, which apparently works with DeWalt compatible batteries:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/400...14-1b9f1a6acfad

So then I could get it to function with a Makita->Dewalt adapter, but at that point it's better to just get the stand-alone Xiaomi pump.

I mentioned this before but if you are using chrome then try the Aliexpress Superstar ext. It will tell you a price history of that item so you can see what it was in the way back before times.
Thanks, this works. I used to use some stand-alone site to check price histories but it seems to be discontinued.

Oh no that's a photo I stole from one of the reviews. I haven't ordered anything yet.

Did you buy that one I linked then? Or the Xiaomi? I think the Xiaomi is what I'm gonna get. The other one doesn't really make sense for me since it'd be $26+ $10 shipping + $10 adapter. Too bad, it'd be great to reuse existing batteries but if you do have Dewalt stuff then it should be ok.

E: lol they doubled the price of the Xiaomi even though the sale is ongoing

Lounge chair update. I went through some reviews looking for comments on the leather quality, and while there are some genuine looking one, these have to be all fake:

Nobody lives like that lol. All of these are clearly professional catalog photos, I GISed some and there are a ton of matches of course. Is there any way to report this sort of nonsense or is marking them "unhelpful" the most I can do?

Anyway, there's actually an official "Furgle" store that's less sketchy but I'm not convinced.

I like these sweeties:

I bought one that looked a little like me for my friend and one that looked a little like my friend for me. :3: Mine has some random succulent in it, which seems to be happy enough.

This particular shop used to sell a wider range of this type of planter, so if none of these strike your fancy, look for similar products at different sellers--they might have more than what you see here. I remember a couple of nutcracker-y soldiers and maybe a dog and a cat. There are a few not pictured here that are cute, too.

I bought a bunch of tiny resin molds as well. And one of the dice spinner rings some one linked earlier. Well, a cheaper version.

My knuckle duster molds arrived and are pretty good and the tiny molds I ordered are to adorn the knuckle dusters.

I also just received another tiny jar of glow in the dark nail powder and a bottle of uv resin that actually cures completely instead of remaining soft, so now I have a bunch of tiny, glow-in-the-dark koi and goldfish. The blue glow is a different brand of nail powder. It does rad things with the bird skull mold that serves no purpose because I have no freaking clue what to do with these resin crow skulls but they are awesome.

And this just showed up in my suggestions. I just cleared my cache but these always crack me up so it is a drat good suggestion

I always heard UV resin doesn’t keep for long, shorter time than epoxy. Would it be safe to order from Ali without having to worry for a few months? I know it comes in smaller amounts so I’m more likely to use it all up vs the 18oz two part I currently use.

If so do you have any recommendations? Because I already have a UV light thanks to my previous nail hobby.

Well, I just received this, and I'm happy with it. Plenty of power, although obviously not the gazillion lumen in the ad. It's USB chargable, and also includes a USB output.

Then, of course, the G700 is a trusted choice, but you'll need to figure out charging separately (maybe by using the USB chargable 18650 cells I linked earlier).

Hell, same.

I've had one of these clones forever now, and it's very bright, still works perfectly though I haven't tested waterproofing beyond some rain.

I finally got your links to work! Maybe at some point I told android to always open it in the browser, but that always fails "site can't be reached". But, if I manually reload the page, I get the option to open it in the app and that works. Weird. Did you receive the battery already? Since I couldn't see your link before, I ordered a different one, with the built-in USB-A under the cap. Claims to be about 1500mah which is about what it should be if it's made properly.

As for other flashlights, I also came across this, having the large COB on the side can be very useful:https://www.aliexpress.com/item/328...ac-66ed6c9f1f5a
And there's also this G700 version with a built-in charger: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/328...earchweb201603_

I'd definitely suggest getting one with a built-in charger or at least a USB batteries (though they're more expensive and lower capacity) because otherwise you'll have to carry around a special charger which is only used for this one thing. Not an issue when it just sits at home but annoying if you go travelling or camping.

I have accepted that I am indeed a flashlight nerd.

Define "good normal"

What are you planning to do with it?

Are you looking for something small/keychain sized? Something for just working around the house? Something to set the trees on fire on the other side of a field?

Budget ballpark? $20? $100?

Don't get a zoomie like suggested above. They're inefficient trash that do nothing well. I have 4 of them I got before I actually learned about proper flashlights. They have crappy, usually bootleg LEDs that have terrible tints and colour reproduction. There's so many better options for not much more money.

it is ULTRA bright and about the size of a bic lighter.
