I thought Chronicles 1 was fine in terms of gameplay for the time I played it. The way turns work and stuff is pretty similar to tabletop miniatures wargame stuff I played in the late 90s. It works, I just thought the jump from tanks and rifles to immortal titty demigods was a little weird. Reminds me of how Silent Storm had a pretty stable narrative until outta nowhere the nazis get power armor

Presumably it got patched eventually.
