lol yeah. if you've ever seen Four Rooms, the last segment (the hosed up one with Tarantino in it) is based on one of his adult short stories. he basically wrote Twilight Zone pornography.

i'm not big on remakes but Strangers on a Train in the right hands would be interesting. it's the kind of movie you watch and instantly know who you'd cast in a modern adapation. also the highsmith estate seems really open to adaptations and the book is different enough to change some stuff.

For some reason I just started thinking about the merrie melodies cartoon Hollywood Steps Out. I loved it as a kid even though I didn’t know who most of the people being referenced were, now that I know more I love the caricatures

A big reason they’re made is so that Warner can cheaply hold onto the copyrights of older movies they have no intention of making full sequels or remakes to. iirc they made a Tom and Jerry Wizard of Oz one too.

i l,ike moonraker, spy who loved me mostly for jaws, and man with the golden gun. also yeah, live and let die is maybe the biggest gap between how good the theme is and how bad the movie is lol. the world is not enough is the only one close
