I don't know where best to put this, but my friend made an actual movie, that was released to cinemas in last year. Well that was an overly manufactured trailer desperate to tell some kind of narrative. Too many times trailers just assume people won't notice when the words coming out of actors' mouths don't match what is being heard. If you're gonna do that you need to meticulously frame by frame try to match it but lazy editors and execs say gently caress it nobody will know. It drives me crazy.

Looks as equally bad and unfaithful to the tone of the games as the original run of RE movies, but at least those had the benefit of being guilty pleasure sci fi action B movies. This just looks bad and I’m not sure what the goal was here.

Full Blade Runner: Black Lotus trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUu3lK_Z8VM Still doesn't look great, but at least it looks a whole lot better than the teaser—hopefully that's because the teaser was misleading, not because they're trying to obscure a more action-oriented series after backlash. The visuals are still rough but I've settled into them a bit. It doesn't feel like Blade Runner, and certainly far from BR2049, but at least it looks like something I'll watch rather than avoid.

It also basically gives away Duncan's whole deal because Mamoa puts asses in seats I guess. The previous two were way better though, you're not missing anything by skipping this one.
