the first season is really good and the second season is OK but has absolutely nothing to do with even the basic themes of the first season. it's not even about the same kind of burnout loser cop. im pretty sure it was somebody's new project that didn't get greenlit so they just branded it as the second season.

Yeah plus from what we did watch it seemed like it was about like zoning corruption and real estate politics?? Just nothing in common with what made the first season so good

the eva rebuilds dont suck but they're definitely inferior. the first three films are too cramped and rushed, and both the plot and the characters suffer for it. 3.0+1.0 is fantastic though and is proof that every entry shouldve been that long

anthology shows that do new stories season-to-season instead of episode-to-episode definitely do seem like ways of stealthing in a new limited series that they don't feel confident about, especially when they don't keep any of the cast.

It was about how the corrupt real estate guys and politicians are also pedophiles and murderers, and have their fingers in everything, which was funny because it's true. It was funny watching it and remembering there literally was a gay serial killer who targeted teenage prostitutes who was a big donor organizer guy in the LA politics arena. Hard to take the show seriously when the big secret is way more tame than real life but they're being like, hunted down and killed over it.

In conclusion you should probably just watch The Killing instead of season 2.

Season three is worth a watch. The cast does a great job, but the story is a bit weak. Be prepared for the ending it stinks

I probably would have watched season 2 and 3 if they included a couple half assed references to the king in yellow, but they clearly dont want my business

True Detective S1 is one of the best tv shows I've ever seen. We gave up 20 minutes into the first episode of S2 lol

friend and i are rewatching S1 and we just finished the ep with the long 1 shot action scene and we were getting psyched. S2 ive seen twice for some reason and its alright but it had to deal with the most inflated audience expectations of all time for a crime show like that so it never was going to satisfy everyone. S3 owns imho

yeah, trek's the only place i really knew him from and he's great there. he plays adult jake in that real good episode where sisko gets dimension shifted and jake fucks up his life to get him back and is amazing there

I haven't watched 3.0+1.0 yet but the other 3 own imo especially 2.22 and 3.33 because they diverge so heavily from the OG

i was just sitting there staring blank-eyed at the screen in awe of the ending of 2.22 for like ten minutes, its so completely insane. 3.33 was kind of a mess but in a cool way, tyou could tell someone sat anno in the casino royale chair and crushed his balls until he cut thirty minutes of necessary context to get the movie to a normal length so the whole thing is just a mindfuck. i should watch it again now that ive seen 3.0 + 1.0

i watched epic Amazon show Goliath a while back because I love Billy Bob Thornton even though he plays the same character over and over. Anyway the first season was good, a mystery about a defense contractor covering up crimes, but then the second season comes and suddenly this drunk retard is a smooth operator and banging the latina mayoral candidate who looks about 30 years younger than Billy and the bad guy of the season is both extremely telegraphed and you know who he is from the first episode. Lol. It has the structure of a bad police drama instead of what had been a show about an alcoholic loser lawyer.

I love Billy Bob. His character in Fargo is one of my favorite villains. I haven't had good luck with any of the Amazon shows I've seen, but I'll give this a shot.

The post-credits scene where Kaworu shivs Eva 01 shocked the hell out of me. I really liked the expansion of his character in 3.33

Billy Bob has an awesome 10 second long scene in one of the Seagal movies i watched that’s just him talking to another guy about how his submachine gun’s stock makes him feel, possibly unaware the camera was rolling, and it loving owns. audio’s quiet, crank that poo poo
