Inside a Mind did a video about Ong's Hat, which was basically the first ARG. Its pretty interesting, the guy tried to make it clear that it was all fake, but conspiracy theorists decided it was actually real. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHkn0CWWfBk

Pat Finnerty doing a competition between which Lenny Kravitz song stinks more, Fly Away or American Woman. Lot of gags and a lot more analysis than his Train video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--rBP8_QuwI Had to say that I disagreed with his decision.

The last arg I watched was I am Sophie and that one just completely dropped in quality after the first act, then they completely halted likely because the creator actually got a professional project going on Why does every arg nowadays need their own slender man

Lotus Aura posted:New video from James Somerton too, on gay (and other queer) characters in video games: In seriousness, he also seemed to have outright forgotten that best boy Steve Cortez exists, along with your PC's dialogue option during his scenes to outright state that they're into men, which is kind of a massive oversight when discussing queer content in the Mass Effect series. Also neglects Jade Empire entirely, and basically seems overharsh in reducing Bioware's frankly excellent and unmatched ratio of queer representation to just them making sexy bi ladies for the dudebros. (which is not me saying that Bioware doesn't have huge problems here as well) Not a bad video otherwise but like...these sorts of biases make it seem less like he gleaned his thesis from close study of these examples and more like he had a thesis in mind and set out to cherry-pick examples to support it. Like I'm frankly confused about why queer romances being optional in games is not good representation, but the optional queer romance in Hades is still good representation.

I'm not sure I agree with him, but I think the argument is more "to truly beat the game you have to at least engage with this gay relationship is better than gay relationships that dudebros never even remotely experience because they never come close to starting the event for it"

It mostly ends up as a rumination on William Marston and the strengths and drawbacks of his...ideas. Includes two sidebars into mythology!

My favorite part, and I mention this at the very tail-end, was how the entire plot of the film is about Marston being the victim of some kind of fundie witch-hunt tribunal led by The Ultimate Karen, and trying to tie this in with scenes of troubles in his home life and also themes in the WW book itself, which of course was being burned in the streets at the time by fanatical mobs offended by his perverted lifestyle. yyyea none of that happened. WW was one of DC's top-sellers at the time. They got sent some mildly disapproving letters and that was it.

Kali Muscle, long-time bodybuilding youtuber who I've occasionally posted about ITT because of his numerous and bizarre pivots (mukbangs, supercars, game streaming, pranks, he's done it all) had a heart attack. Fortunately, he's recovering and vlogging about it, but it's definitely the most emotional content he's ever made. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLNz2_YfRF8 I believe that the majority of his money comes from bodybuilding supplements and preworkout. Who knows what will come of that since he'll almost certainly have to stop taking any of that stuff.
