I think it's fine to talked about leaked things, but yeah using spoiler tags for people who wanna be surprised by it would be good.

Meh, don't care for it to be honest. Still holding out hope for some Johnny Cash at some point. Feels weird not having more jojolion to read. I am glad it is over but I am still unsatisfied with how it ended and I feel like it ended just as things were taking a turn for the interesting. It's a really hollow feeling. Get a feeling so complicated.

Glad that trailers didn't show Pucci or DIO (even though the latter is most likely going to appear in the first batch). It would be so easy to show DIO just to build more hype

Over in the anime thread someone said they think part 5's train fight is the best stand fight in the franchise and I think they might be right? There's a handful I'd argue you could put above it (Sugar Mountain/Tattoo You, California King Bed, Vitamin C, Civil war)
# ? Nov 13, 2021 16:52 |
It's definitely in the top 5. It's really endemic of Part 5 which has some of the best Monster Of The Week fights (Beach Boy/Grateful Dead, White Album, Green Day/Oasis, Metallica) but with probably the worst overarching story.
# ? Nov 13, 2021 16:56 |
Yeah I feel like 3, 5, and 8 are kinda similar in that regard. Really really really good fights in those parts, but the overarching story isn't amazing and not every fight is great
# ? Nov 13, 2021 17:18 |
Yeah, I don't think I'll ever approach VA again but the train fight is bar none the best Enemy Stand User(s) of The Week Araki ever did, that's just a brilliant arc all-round
# ? Nov 13, 2021 17:32 |
Still think my favorite arc is probably either Highway Star or Sugar Mountain, but the train is up there
# ? Nov 13, 2021 17:33 |

For me it's the Metallica fight, at least for Part 5. Doppio's Stand having basically zero combative abilities really made for an interesting battle.

Sticky Fingers is probably the best protagonist stand in the series as well. It has a very clearly designed powerset: "Puts zippers on things. You can now unzip those things." And Araki uses that ruleset in all sorts of interesting ways that don't violate the core ruleset, nor add anything else to it (that I remember, at least?) A lot of protag stands don't really get used consistently, or cleverly, let alone consistently cleverly. ( Josuke and his fixing powers is definitely a close second for all the wacky bullshit he pulls with it (he fixed the spaghetti) ) And the train fight is just a shining example of Bruno repeatedly using zippers in cool ways that never violate the ruleset, do any asspulls, rely on dumb plot luck, etc It's beautiful, and Zipper Man is the best stand (and coolest looking) (and Bruno is very handsome)
