IT IS SAID THE TEARS OF THE BWEENIX CAN HEAL ALL WOUNDS

Jordan gave an interview at one point saying "yeah some line about her age putting it more like 14-15 was a mistake, she's definitely 17 when she leaves saldea".

But also, yes, she's presumably going to be older in the show, like everyone else.

Really so much of the books make more sense once you realize Rand, Mat, Perrin, Elayne, Egwene, Faile, and Aviendha are under 21 for the entire series.

Rand and mat are like 1000 years old since Rand is just LLT reborn with his memories and Mat is an amalgamation of a bunch of old dead people.

The thing about Faile is in comparison to Perrin she's basically a long suffering saint. Perrin tried to shove her away so he could go commit suicide alone, after they've each told the other they loved them, literally any kind of intervention she pulled in that entire set of chapters in TSR is 275% justified.

And later on, the basic dynamic is, Perrin tries to tailor his actions to smelling Faile but he just looks guiltier and guiltier of whatever you could logically think the worst case scenario is, every single time.

Perrin reluctantly assuming the mantle of leadership while Faile does whatever needs to be done to support his leadership is their post-TSR arc though

And given adaptation choices seen in early S1, they're doubling down on that kind of character development drama.

I hope they have a little bit from Edmond’s Field in there, inasmuch that it’s “Faile makes administrative decisions because the women’s circle are thirsty as fuuuuuuck for Perrin.”

There’s not a concrete one in the books, but I’d to see them pull off a Mat rant going through a list of all the times he remembers dying to Hawkwing or a Dragon incarnation.

GOOD CLEAN FOOTBALL
Most of the scenes I want to see adapted have already been mentioned.

Here's a few I haven't seen brought up yet.

1. Darth Rand vs Cadsuane

"Cadsuane," he said softly, "do you believe that I could kill you? Right here, right now, without using a sword or the Power? Do you believe that if I simply willed it, the Pattern would bend around me and stop your heart? By . . . coincidence?"

Being ta'veren didn't work that way. Light! It didn't, did it? He couldn't bend the very Pattern to his will, could he?

And yet, meeting his eyes, she did believe. Against all logic, she looked in those eyes and knew that if she didn’t leave, she would die.

2. Zen Rand vs Cadsuane

“Well, boy,” Cadsuane finally said. “You—”

“Are you ever going to give up that affectation, Cadsuane Sedai?” Rand asked. “Calling me boy? I no longer mind, though it does feel odd. I was four hundred years old on the day I died during the Age of Legends. I suspect that would make you my junior by several decades at the least. I show you respect. Perhaps it would be appropriate for you to return it. If you wish, you may call me Rand Sedai. I am, so far as I know, the only male Aes Sedai still alive who was properly raised but who never turned to the Shadow.”

3. When Rand reveals himself to be the Car'a'carn, the stand off with Lanfear and then the duel with Asmodean for the access key for the Choedan'Kal

4. Mat meeting Julien and then meeting the Aiel on the roof tops of Tear as they all make their way to The Stone.

Kinda worried we may not get Mat wupping Galad and Gawyn with the quarterstaff with the changes made to his dad? I guess he could be a drunken lecher master of the quaterstaff and still teach Mat?

Those are all good scenes.

For Mat being good with a quarterstaff, there's no reason they couldn't have still had yearly quarterstaff contests he was good at. Play it off as the one thing his dad taught him when he was younger. Plus they still haven't done any of the Lan teaching the boys how to fight yet, they kind of skipped it so having a bit in the Borderlands would work well.

i get the feeling rafe is well aware of a lot of the scenes that people remember fondly and has put in a lot of work to get them included in whatever way he can. like if nothing else the showrunner seems fairly invested and willing to go the distance, which is more than could be said for other shows in the past.

basically any of the big events people regularly bring up will absolutely be in the show, if only because they have such a large impact on the story beyond the fact that rafe himself probably nerds out about them in the same way
