PCR testing sites in Vermont open up appointments at different intervals. Some don't post appointments until a couple days before. So right now there's only a couple sites in the state with appointments for next week and no way to know if that's because they haven't been posted or because they're already full.

Every tv / streaming show break includes new footage of medical personnel either intubating or running a code on a covid patient. If footage of carnage turned the US against the Vietnam war it should be used the same way here. It should not be realistically possible to ignore the scope of human suffering that inaction and apathy is causing. Serious grants for nursing / medical practitioners. The long term effects of the pandemic in terms of staffing brain drain and burnout are going to kneecap an already strained system when the baby boomers all start to have serious medical issues (unless covid gets them already). Id like to see some kind of air scrubber units present in all major places where people congregate. Government funded, who cares. Schools and restaurants especially if you want to keep them open. Probably more. Off to chart on covid patients!

I've said it before, but if you're in the US, then Walmart is absolutely the easiest, most hassle-free way to get any kind of booster shot you want. Make an appointment. Bring your card. They'll ask you which shot you want and then give you that one. You can also go without bringing your card and they won't turn you away. CVS, Walgreens, etc. tend to be a little more annoying because the individual stores may only have one particular vaccine brand in stock, so you'll have to plan your appointment around that. As far as I can tell, every Walmart has all three vaccines available and ready to go.
