Listened to the latest 5 Star Match Game podcast, topic is wrestling in 2021 & half the show is just burying 2021 wrestling. I felt bad for 2021 wrestling, it wasn't that bad.

In 2021 two of my favorite promotions had even better years than the year before (AEW and Stardom) while two had even worse (NJPW and CMLL.) Meanwhile AAA had another AAA year.

Bryan's full throated defence of covering NXT 2.0 is actually pretty loving pertient and well said. He's been dealing with people hating the NXT 2.0 coverage still on the vs Dynamite shows but, as he says, NXT 2.0 is literally meant to be the future of WWE - that these people are going to be the future WrestleMania main eventers and they are not signing indie workers anymore. Seeing their origins, and how it is a loving disaster, is a story that has to be followed and covered not in spite of that it sucks but because it sucks.

Absolutely agree, and it does bug me when Sempervive of all people on WOL complains about them covering not just NXT but Raw as well, as if what the biggest wrestling company on the planet (even if it sucks, ESPECIALLY if it sucks) is doing isn't relevant/noteworthy.

When Byran is arguing with like, Vinny or Craig it comes off as friends busting their balls. When Bryan and Mike argue it just sounds like two people who legit don't like each other and it's a weird vibe for an internet radio show
