remember when Open Hopper was implemented and the ants still had to work for the grain through a pandemic

The hellscape of the modern american work culture has this issue, but it's definitely not a capitalisms issue. Hell, if we didn't have major socialist elements propping up oligarchies & defense contractors, capitalism should be a good system for a pandemic.

Capitalism is supposed to be flexible and great at adapting to sudden large scale changes. When 35%+ of every worker's wages goes to the top 1% (not even counting inflation bs), and that 1% creates a legal system to maximize exploitation of those with medical needs, I'm not even quite sure what you call it. Some form of Oligarchy?

Private medical companies across the globe came up with not only the vaccine, but practical solutions including fleets of refrigerated aircraft and trucks, it was incredible. While they may have financial incentive to not share the vaccine IP, they certainly would like to sell as many as they can, which the gov't is heavily restricting for... reasons. Said gov't could also maybe... declare this an emergency worthy of sharing the IP.

i mean, schools are remote right now. my school was remote last week and extended it for this week, too.

In an investigation, details matter.
Is the Walter Reed slut juice the secret sauce to protect the rich and legislators against covid now? Last I heard Regeneron is less effective and I thought that was their solution. You'd figure with the average age of 90 in congress they'd make any attempt to contain.

But not preemptively, right? No k-12 I know of took off more than a week ahead of returning , everywhere else has tried to go back and then gone remote when they didn't have enough staff

There's a new monoclonal antibody cocktail for omicron that's in very limited supply so that's what rich people are presumably using.

The Walter Reed drug hasn't been through clinical testing yet.
