No damage to to reactors etc. I've dug through quite a few research papers on the subject of radiation cycling through the exclusion zone biosphere and can tell y'all that you don't have anything to worry about. It probably is just kicked up particulate earth thats got some radioactivity bound to it. Nobody's shooting at the sarcophagus (though a forest fire would be super not great because trees and plants are big radisotope sinks in an affected system.)

I wanna believe but its probably a testament of all the dogfighting happening at low altitude to avoid AAA systems on both sides meaning some really visible air war in parts of the country. Ukraine is quite flat after all. But I'm sure some pilots will have a lot of kills to their name by the time this is all said and done.

I think that shootdown video I praised a few pages back is fake by the way, DCS footage superimposed onto a panning sky. Misattribution is one thing, but it really sucks that people are doing solid, artful fakes right now. Could be that it was old, who knows.
