Tournament takes place over three successive weeks. April 10th, 16th and 23rd each with a 10pm JST start time. First round matches are: - Sanshiro Takagi vs Abdullah Kobayashi - BJW Dojo (and surrounding area) - Hikaru Machida vs Worawutnoi Keatchaiyong - Enoshima Beach (never heard of these guys but they're hyping it as Kickboxing vs Muay Thai) - Chris Brookes vs Onryo - Studio Flamme in a Coffin Match (Also apparently Onryo is invisble to everyone but Chris?) - Suzu Suzuki vs Shunma Katsumata - Shibuya Kitaya Park Now that is a diverse location list, I thought they might have blown their wad sending Shunma and MAO north to hang out with Chihiro in the snow https://twitter.com/ddtproENG/status/1507339882997649414 Funniest part was either this or during the promo photos Onryo started strangling Chris and Shota thought he was just drunk and collapsed. He leads Chris offscreen and you hear a weak "the ghost was choking me Shota"

They've tweeted out on at least two separate occasions that they stayed out getting drunk together until the first train. This is a really quiet week, which as someone who had developed an excessive backlog this is very good. The Stardom show looks insane but then you remember that the matches are all going to be sub-10 minutes. DDT have their train battle royal but honestly the thing I'm most excited for is Dragongate & the K-ness retirement show. Going by what Jae said it's not going to be a great match because K-ness is that hurt but it'll be emotional, & also there are a whole gently caress of a lot of real interesting things happening in DG right now & we're building towards Dead Or Alive & the traditional clusterfuck cagematch. Even if they can't be bothered to break out a measuring tape, can't they just break out an old Wrestle-1 show because his height is definitely out there (160cm). Anyway, Wrestle-1's dojo is something I definitely didn't appreciate when they existed but it sure has pumped out some fantastic talent in the few years they were around.

The other participants are pretty cool though. And Kento & Yoshitatsu always have really good chemistry, so there's that. I can't wait, week & a half until the first show in Osaka & we get Jake vs Ashino, Honda vs T-Hawk, Shuji vs Irie in some beef action, Kento vs Arashi, Suwama vs Aoyagi & Yoshitatsu vs Nomura. And Nomura just stiffing YT sounds cool. That said, yes, any time I watch a B Block match & YT wins I will complain.
