I mean, either it's true or it's extremely plausible. I heard Gideon's sunglasses are definitely from that.

mewse posted:I like "We go looking for why the art we love is moral even if the art we love is a donut." Heck yeah. Similar sentiment to the sometimes vague, sometimes very focused feeling that art must be high-minded, that literature must be literary. And screw that, most literature that's hung around was pop culture in its time, told for the masses.

Sometimes it's okay to like something just because it's fun. I think The Locked Tomb has a lot of super interesting stuff that's it's doing and saying, but at the end of the day I love it because it's so much fun

Sounds like the reddit post may have been taken down but apparently there are some pretty spoilery reviews on Goodreads as well
|
# ? May 7, 2022 01:42 |

I looked it up, it didnt seem spoilery at all to me but it does sketch out the structure of the book overall. But I'm not particularly sensitive about spoilers personally, so if you are, don't rely upon my assessment.
|
# ? May 8, 2022 01:43 |

I don't know, I feel like after Harrow even knowing the structure could feel sort of like a spoiler, but your mileage may vary. My rule of thumb tends to be "if it's not in official promo materials I don't want to know about it", but I also think there is a point where whining about spoilers is a bit dumb. I don't like being spoiled on things but sometimes a spoiler on it's own doesn't mean much without context. But it depends. Either way, I'm definitely going to avoid this thread and Tumblr for a few days after the book comes out haha

I need fanart of this like, yesterday The newest episode of Homestuck Made This World podcast namedropped Harrow The Ninth in their newest episode. I clapped like a dumb little seal. So at least one of the hosts are reading TLT and I wonder if they're reading it on their own or because of Tamsyn's homestuck history.

Given how difficult Harrow was to follow even reading DIRECTLY after Gideon I guess I need to re-read? Maybe there's a summary somewhere?
