I mean, either it's true or it's extremely plausible. I heard Gideon's sunglasses are definitely from that.

You don't need to have read homestuck to have read homestuck fanfic.

I mentioned the name of the podcast, and actually have no idea how to link a podcast other than "in my podcast app I search for the name there"

Heck yeah. Similar sentiment to the sometimes vague, sometimes very focused feeling that art must be high-minded, that literature must be literary. And screw that, most literature that's hung around was pop culture in its time, told for the masses.

Sometimes it's okay to like something just because it's fun. I think The Locked Tomb has a lot of super interesting stuff that's it's doing and saying, but at the end of the day I love it because it's so much fun

neongrey

Plaguing your posts with incidental music.
I looked it up, it didnt seem spoilery at all to me but it does sketch out the structure of the book overall. But I'm not particularly sensitive about spoilers personally, so if you are, don't rely upon my assessment.

Happy Landfill

I don't know, I feel like after Harrow even knowing the structure could feel sort of like a spoiler, but your mileage may vary. My rule of thumb tends to be "if it's not in official promo materials I don't want to know about it", but I also think there is a point where whining about spoilers is a bit dumb. I don't like being spoiled on things but sometimes a spoiler on it's own doesn't mean much without context. But it depends.

Either way, I'm definitely going to avoid this thread and Tumblr for a few days after the book comes out haha

The newest episode of Homestuck Made This World podcast namedropped Harrow The Ninth in their newest episode. I clapped like a dumb little seal. So at least one of the hosts are reading TLT and I wonder if they're reading it on their own or because of Tamsyn's homestuck history.

I took a peek and can only vaguely remember who these characters are. It doesn't help they were barely in Harrow. Given how difficult Harrow was to follow even reading DIRECTLY after Gideon I guess I need to re-read? Maybe there's a summary somewhere?
