Last time I played the missions were stuck on bug planets pretty much all the time. It's been awhile so maybe there's a mod or something for it now.

The Spiderman game is really good if people haven't played it. It's got its own thing going on with it's universe but still has a lot of love for the franchise as a whole, and the plot is probably the best spiderman plot since the raimi flicks discounting spider verse. And the swinging and combat pluse the fun of exploring new York meant the Ubisoft style open world nature of the game didn't bother me at all. Platinumed the game with zero regrets. It's one of the few games released in the PS4 generation that isn't complete garbage

repiv posted:Switch emulation is so far along that arguably you only need the PC I've seen enough screenshots from people's Steam Decks that yeah, you only need the PC to cover Switch games too. Supposedly they play well on it, I didn't try it out. Miles Morales is a separate game, release is a little muddled though as there was a launch edition of it that also included the PS5 version of Spider-Man. It's available separately still for ps4 and ps5, though Spider-Man Remastered is not available separately from Miles Morales Ultimate.

Yeah, this is the first Sony PC port that wasn't in the GFN leak Though Ratchet & Clank was in the leak so Insomniacs engine was getting ported either way, may as well port all their IPs I guess

Kinda wild how much the gaming landscape has changed in just a few years. I couldn’t imagine someone telling 2018-me that in about five years I’d be playing Sony’s Spider-Man and Microsoft’s Starfield on my Valve-developed handheld after buying them on Steam.

Spider-Man wasn’t in the GeForce Now leak iirc, so it’s good to know that that didn’t actually include every single PC game releasing for the next few years. Not that I was worried about that

K8.0 posted:If you feel that way, don't play it more. There's not going to be a magic moment where all of a sudden it becomes good. It's just going to get worse the more you play. I think you have to be a super masochist who really hates yourself to enjoy it, every single mechanic is deliberately obnoxious. Honestly, this isn’t really true. A lot of the classes feel clunky at first are much, much better once you get used to them. The knight can move while attacking so losing that means you need to plan attacks a bit further in advance but the payoff is usually worth it (except bards, still haven’t figured out how to not die to ceiling spikes).

Returnal a third person roguelite which is cool, but also it's a bullet hell so it's trash.Stickman posted:Honestly, this isn’t really true. I couldn't disagree more strongly. I honestly believe the game is deliberately bad, I could write an essay that would be like five forum pages long about all the ways the developers put an incredible amount of dedication, care, and devotion into making the game as bad as they possibly could.
