I am now kicking myself over how much money I've spent on primer spray cans over the years when a big bottle of vallejo airbrush primer lasts like 30 times as long for the same price. Stuff works pretty well to boot.

 My 20+ year old Queadluun-Rau (the original design, this's a recast) kit can finally stand on its own! I've got most of the joints figured out, just the elbows left to work out. Ended up printing out assemblies for the knee joints. It's such a styalized design there isn't a massive amount of possibility but I wanted to be able to move it a bit to pose when it's done.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit because Bandai's engineers have been going hard with 30MM making a standardized model frame for 1/144 scale kits. Letters from on high to the mechanical designers to tell them what is needed on the show to make the gunpla work.

I can see it, but I think it's just a roundabout way of Gundam to 30MM and back again. The three-hole design in the Aerial Gundam's shield quite possibly came from the similar hole layout in some of the 30MM pieces, and the Dilanza's looking similar to the Revernova's chonky build but it's also got some similarities to the Spinner Rodi from IBO.

Yeah, it looks a bit like it could break up into autonomous bits like late UC/00. Same with booger-boo, that backpack definitely does a thing. You can even see a swing out handle(?) in the 360. Edit edit: Looking at the Gundam as well, that shield definitely has a gimmick because the 2 halves don't line up properly and the side widgety bits have a space for them to swing out. Like this?
