I think the localized stand names are decided by Shueisha/Lucky Land to keep consistency through different works like games and manga. This wouldn't have been the first one they changed, probably due to people making fun of Flaccid Pancake.

Also to be fair in the other way, Flaccid Pancake is only one more syllable than Limp Viscuit, and both are shorter than Japan's Rinpu Bizukitto
