Ordered and received this stick-on / suction touch screen game controller real quick. I am mightily impressed after messing around with it for a few hours. Probably going to order another just to have a backup.

There’s a lot of different styles for touchscreen controllers like this and I don’t know how it compares to any others but in judging it for what it does: it stays where it’s put, it self centers, it works really well for games with d-pad style controls. And it comes in a little plastic memory card style case for when you’re not using it.

The suction works surprisingly well, I can’t accidentally move it while using it but can pick it up off the screen really easily.

That's pretty cool, but my interest was entirely overshadowed by the TELESCOPIC CHICKEN BREEDER in the Recommended for you panel, which features a/n EATING CHICKEN ARTIFCAT 6 FINGER LINKAGE MOBILE GAMEPAD:

Many years ago I bought a metal buttplug attached to a fluffy white fox tail on Aliexpress as a gag gift for a cosplayer friend (long story), and when it arrived not only was the cold metal buttplug deemed "unsuitable for human consumption", I was mortified to discover that the white fluffy fox tail was actually harvested from a real animal.

I stopped buying from Aliexpress at that point.

That’s why u need to go to everythingisedible.com. You can get clothes, bedding, fully functioning computers, broom handles, little statues of famous people.. And you can eat it all. Hell some guy bought an edible car on there, drove it to Alaska in the middle of nowhere, and he ate his entire car to survive the winter and started his own village the next summer (most of it was edible). :fella:

To get actual knockoffs (aka "replicas") you'll need to jump through some hoops by ordering from an actual Chinese store and sending it to a local freight forwarding company, that will then send it to you. As Cached Money said, check r/fashionreps to find the actual replica you want. I wrote about my experience with this whole process recently:

mobby_6kl posted:

I just had to throw out a pair of sneakers so I thought I might give the Yeezys a shot. When searching around I came across another way of getting them (and other knock off junk)
They can collect several items and ship it all over to you. Unfortunately based on the calculator, the shipping on one pair would be more than the sneakers are worth themselves. But it seems to scale well, sending 2 pairs would be barely more expensive to ship than one, so if you want multiple items, it's a pretty good deal. Their service fee is pretty negligible.

mobby_6kl posted:

Update on my taobao adventure. Everything is in the warehouse except the Onitsuka Tiger reps which were the whole reason I went through this effort :negative:

First seller didn't ship after 10 days and now neither has a different seller in I think 5 days. Maybe they're just out of stock everywhere but there was no indication of that.

While I was waiting for that I also decided to get the Oakley Whisker clones too.

I think I'll give it a few more days and then just have this shipped regardless.

mobby_6kl posted:

Yo my taobao haul is here! Took about a month with the second cheapest shipping option, including customs and everything.

The Whiskers feel like cheap plastic junk, would not recommend. The Juliet are at least metal, there's this weird rubber thingy sticking out, but otherwise feel decent. Everything looks and feels reasonably legit and well made. The yeezis are super bouncy, it's weird. Nailed the sizes on everything at least, so no worries there.

Next time will definitely get a few more band shirts and maybe button-downs to fill out gaps in my palette, as well as those Bruce Lee Onitsukas I wanted in the first place.

I don't know if there are many (any?) teachers here, but there are so many useful things to have on hand for games and activities, or just to stock up for rainy days. There are super cheap stickers and pencils and stuff like that, but these have been a lifesaver:

These little laminating sheets are so good to have a stock of. I have several hundred around and I use them constantly for things like speaking prompts, board games, phonics cards, etc.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32862460397.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.86631802huo8Rh

I move from class to class, so I got several of these to stick up on the board when I need to use them for sorting and categorizing activities.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003353731452.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.86631802huo8Rh

These flyswatters are fun to have for an impromptu game or activity. Plus, no matter how hard you swing them, they won't hurt anyone. Unless you poke someone in the eye with them...

Reminds me of the police report of someone making a reciprocating saw a sex to by shoving a dildo onto an actual saw blade.
It went as badly as you think, resulting in mutilation and death from bleeding/trauma. Do not put a saw blade in your hoo-hah, y’all.
