From mercury potions to fetal harvested stem cells. E; the better rejuv treatments are of course when the baby is stolen from the mother's arms at birth and ground up in front of them and the rich person is right there to enjoy the show and treatment on the spot. I SHOULD WRITE 40K FICTION. MariusLecter fucked around with this message at 02:16 on Oct 23, 2022 |

Cult of the Spiral Dawn is excellent, though it leans more into the tragic aspect of the cults IMHO. I haven't read Day of Ascension yet but I've heard excellent things and I'm looking forward to it once my current pile is a little shorter.

Sodaz ended up taking down all of the 40K videos after fan backlash to him taking the GW deal and then he backed out of worming with Gw because he didnt like the contract. So now the only way to watch his 40K stuff is via these uploads. Good news is that he's still active making videos. He had a cool Titanfall one and he's currently working on a big Halo Reach compilation.

A quick question for those who read Echoes of Eternity. Did Magnus burn out Vulkan's immortality? It as implied at the end of their duel that he had attacke dthe 'code' woven into his being that made him impossible to kill, and when he walks back, he is still a charred ruin. But it was not made clear, perhaps on purpose.

I think it didn’t work. But Vulkan’s post-heresy fate has been retconned so many times it’s hard to tell. At least 2-3 times within the HH series itself!

I like the idea that the Primarchs each represent a facet of the Emperor, and Magnus is his hubris. It's been implied that Big E also made a deal with the pantheon, reneged on it, and part of the motivation behind the heresy is the gods coming to settle the bill

Guy Haley's Avenging Son: This novel should have been a Codex. It has no A plot, and is instead stuffed with exposition and bolter porn so dull that it literally put me to sleep several times. The B plot set in the administratum was actually great, however, so I'm not entirely mad. I don't think I'll pick up another novel by Haley again, but I might check out a short story at some point. Audible had a deal on cheap credits so I guess I'll keep at this. Trying to decide between Danie Ware's The Rose at War collection and ADB's The First Heretic. I know y'all love ADB but any opinions on Ware? Edit: Went with ADB. Siivola fucked around with this message at 05:56 on Oct 25, 2022 |

Apparently, Nuceria had some important archeotech vaults, even though most of the world tech itself was only middling. The actual reason is that big E is an awful dad. Maybe since Angron dodn't conquer his world like the others, he just shrugged and went "Welp, guess I better talk straight to the bosses. It's quicker."
