I find the tweet asking Ibushi to teach her how to do that move funny considering how he hurt himself. I have no idea what happened there. She's probably done that over a dozen times and they've all pretty much been perfect. Only twice would I say there was even a minor issue, first time she did it she was off target and landed on Maika's legs but the form was perfect, poor Unagi took some knees to the ribs in January but once again the form was good, the other times she hit it perfectly, nothing like what happened here. Shame as the match was great. Anyways they sure came out of nowhere and stacked the Osaka show on the 19th. Besides the already announced AZM/Momoka Hanazono high speed title match Syuri vs Utami for the red belt and Saya vs Kairi for the white belt were set up. The timing on the Saya/Kairi match is interesting, the day before the IWGP Women's Title match against Mayu.

I would not describe saya's Phoenix splash as near perfect myself at the best of times. Like the rest of her big offensive moves a lot of the time it either doesn't look right or it just baaarely gets there. I saw a compilation of her offense just the other day and her standing Spanish fly/standing rana are similar. I'm not an expert or anything but it looks like she doesn't have a good enough vertical leap to pull a lot of these moves off cleanly. It's one the many misgivings I have about her as a wrestler
