The grading guys probably spent more time on the fake tape than the other 5 real tapes. I wonder if they actually watch the used tape to make sure the vhs doesn't get taped over with some 90s porn.

That’s all the grading is, the condition of the tape, not how much it’s worth. At the beginning of the video, I was like, “oh wow, I wonder how much my wife’s pre-special edition Return of the Jedi VHS is worth?” But by the end I realized it’s worth nothing, because it’s not a pristine, unwatched, still in the shrink wrap copy. Because VHS is a garbage format, and every time you play a VHS tape, it’s quality degrades a little bit.

How "on the hook" are people for eBay bids? Is there really someone who's going to pay $69k+ for Nukie/a charity who watches RLM? Sure if you're rich enough it's not a big deal but I can't imagine anyone who watches RLM being that well off. No offense. I don't think Patton Oswald or Mac has $70k to drop even for a charity. So how serious are the bids? Is it Neil Breen?
