This is basically how my old houses fuse box looked when I moved in. All 30 amp fuses in 15 amp circuits

VelociBacon posted:I would expect that the vibration also makes things lovely for glass fuses in an engine bay but I don't have any data. My subwoofer circuit is ran with a glass fuse in the engine bay and it's blown once in 5 years. My subwoofer uses a blade style fuse and the only time it's ever blown in almost 20 years was when someone stole my stereo and shorted the positive cable to ground as they were ripping it out of my amp. The only place I could get a replacement locally was Best Buy and it was like fifteen goddamned dollars! Yes I'm still salty about it. Also the two other times they broke into my car trying to get my replacement stereo. Eazy-E did nothing wrong with that guy he caught trying to steal his Alpine.

I dunno, do contractors love to get complicated jobs that require a lot of careful custom work? I feel like the ideal job would be "I want the same thing that you normally do, just in fancy materials". Because you can do the same work you usually do (maybe a bit more carefully), just with fancier materials, and charge basically the same markup.

I'm sure some of them do. Quality over quantity kind of thing. Plenty of people will pay more for quality. Important to note that taste and quality are different things.

I want to find something good about that kitchen. Sure it's goofy but if that's you're bag, go for it.... But it compromises the countertop's and drawers usefulness in a couple places by being way too shallow.

I kinda love it visually. It's like, the kitchen the Nestle's focus research team had in mind when they made the Nespresso brand
